I was staring at the stars in winter night from my window despite the cold, I was still focusing on the sky.

The sky has always been the one where I look for comfort after having any trouble, but today was different I was looking at the sky because HE won another award which made me another step farther from reaching him.

“Stars are all high and mighty… but what makes them stars is they are far to reach….” My mother’s voice came from behind while putting a cardigan on my shoulders.

“They are and that’s what makes them stars…” I said while fixing my gaze in the sky and smiling.

“And that’s also mean the star will be lonely forever,” my mother said.

“Not every star is lonely maa, some has their guardians behind them like you and pa,” I said

“Why does it feel like you are not my daughter anymore and someone else… who I don’t even know,” My mother said being worried about me for god knows what.

“What happened to you first?”… I said, and there was a moment of silence between us. “What happened maa... You are not quite yourself today…? I broke the silence

My mother replied while looking at my eyes with tears and said, “Do you have to go so far…?”

“It's not like I am going today…. We have almost a year before I start my process for studying there and even after I start the process there is so much time left till I get my visa…” I said while wiping her tears and hugging her. "Don't cry Na... momma" I added

"Will you come to see me ?” My mother said.

“What kind of question is that…? It's not like I am going to be there forever… I will come back after 2 years of my study or after 3 years

to the max…” I said to console her.

“Why do you have to go…? Our country has remarkable universities and industries to study and work on, why go so far…?” my mother asked

I was speechless, for a moment I don’t even have a reason to go outside the country for the study in the first place. “I just want to go outside and see the other places and learn things and be on my own,” I said after a second of silence.

My mom kept her silence and just keep staring into my eyes for another 2 seconds after that she said “okay… you live your life but be sure of one thing that you have a mother who will be waiting for you in this place for you”

I smiled and said while laughing, “where did you learn this cheeky and creepy line from… you are seriously watching too many movies nowadays”

My mother smiled at me and lightly tapped her hand on my

face. After a moment, we wished each other good night, and she left my room. I came to my study table opening my laptop and the wallpaper reminded of me the day I first watched this person…… The BOY in my DREAMS…
