Chapter 2: Just who is this man?

I looked up and saw a handsome face staring back at mine. "Your majesty!" My nanny said following behind him. What the... his majesty? Are you kidding me? 88!

[Host! You might want to complete this mission as fast as possible. The penalty for failing to complete this mission is death!]

I sighed and reread the mission details. Wait a moment... death?!? System!? Isn't death a little too serve of a penalty for this quest...?

Never mind that, for now, I have to focus on finishing this mission. I saw his majes- my father reach out for me. Alright time to complete this dumb mission.

As the handsome man lifted me up, I mustered everything up in my throat and spewed vomit at his chest area. Don't ask because I'm not sure how.

Haha, you might be wondering just what did this mission include. It was of course... "Puke on his majesty when he picks you up." Honestly who even came up with these missions, they suck and it's disgusting.

"Oh my! Your majesty!" My nanny said helping him clean himself. Maybe that was a bad idea...because my father looks pissed!

88? What do NC points do? Is there some sort of leveling up type function..?

Only 20?!? I almost risked my life there! Anyways, as  the maids were all scrambling about, my father ended up leaving eventually.

Sounds like a bunch of work to me. I sighed internally. Suddenly I see something flash past the window... must've been a bird or something.

The days passed pretty boringly. I chatted with 88... actually that's the only thing I can talk to. I want to grow up quickly and express all my thoughts and feelings out to this unfair world.

I internally glared at 88 for putting me in this situation in the first place. Maybe I would've ended up in the hospital as a vegetable.

Now was the time to start planning my next plan. This novel revolves around the main character, in that case it's my older sister who I've yet to meet and probably won't meet for a long time.

Actually forget that I'm too tired in this body of mine. As I drifted away to sleep, something was bothering me deep in my mind.

When I woke up, the maids were ready to tend to my every need. Quite embarrassing but what could I do? I studied at their faces for some entertainment.

Wait didn't I just complete one? Why is there another one so quickl! This 88 was so unreasonable... anyways I looked at a hologram that appeared in my view of vision. The quest details this time were much better than last time.

[Since host doesn't have much experience, these missions are required to be completed until host has a stable hold]

88, how kind of you to explain it. I scanned the details further. Basically all I had to do this time was befriend one of my brothers. I did hear from the maids that a one of them pass by here every once in a while so it should be a bit easy. But does this mission have a deadline?? 88?

[Answering host's question, no this mission does not have a deadline or a penalty. But the sooner you complete it the more NC and XP you'll receive]

How come the first mission had a death penalty?! This kinda infuriated me. Imagine having to die because you didn't want to puke on your royal dad... yeah can't relate.

A week had gone by and I still haven't seen even a peep of another person other than my maids. "The Princess seems like she wants something?" I heard Sonya say. "Would she perhaps like to go to the garden for some fresh air?" Sonya asked my nanny. Yes! I need to go outside to see if I spot any of my brothers are hanging about.

However my nanny, Araceli seemed unsure about the idea. Understandable, I am a very fragile baby at the moment. I lifted my fists in the air and started squirming. "Maybe..." my nanny said preparing my daily dose of milk. "Aw come on! Don't be such a bummer!" Sonya said picking me up. I decided to smile at her, trying to signal that yes I did want to leave this room I've been in for barely over a week.

Araceli sighed and eventually gave in. Sonya held me in her arms as we went out. Ugh... what even was this garden. Most of the bushes were dead and there were only a few patches of flowers here and there.
