Kun's return.

At the age of 20, Kun Tan, the young prince of Tangeria leaves behind his birthplace to venture into the outside world.

Back then Tangerine, his younger sister, was only ten years old. Now, it is almost time for Kun to return home.

Tangerine knows this, so in every morning she runs toward the shore and sits there on the rocks for hours looking at the horizon. The ocean is immense and blue in front of her eyes, the most beautiful image she has seen in her life. Nothing scares her, not even the stormy days when the waves violently hit the rocks and splash her with cold water. She always repeats her grandmother's words: "It doesn't matter if I get hit by strong waves or silent drops of rain, as long as my heart stays still, I can conquer the world".

"My grandmother is right", she says to herself. "She's such a strong woman! My heart will not waver. I am going to wait here everyday until Kun returns. I strongly believe that my brother will be back in one of these days."

After a week of waiting, finally, when the sun is shining above her head blinding her view, she spots the tortoises coming toward the shore.

"It's the tortoise king, it's the tortoise king! The tortoises are coming back, signaling the ones who were waiting for their loved ones to return.

The return of the tortoises was marking the beginning of summer and "the paper lantern festival". With this occasion, those who left are returning home riding the tortoises. It is the only available method to safely reach Tangeria, that's why this period is also the time for our prince to come back home.

While the tortoises are advancing toward the land, the little girl's eyes are exploring the horizon hoping to see her brother's silhouette but his shape must have changed a lot in the last six years so she couldn't recognize it.

After some minutes of searching in vain, she hears a voice, so she turns to the left.

"Tangerine, it's me! I'm back!"

He takes her in his arms and kisses her beautiful long reddish-orange hair. He could not miss it not even in a huge crowd. She is the only one in the whole Tangeria with such a beautiful and rare hair colour.

"Brother, it's you! You're finally back! I could not recognize you in this crowd. You've become so mature!"

"And you've grown into a beautiful young lady in these six years, my little sister! Hard to say if is you or not! Hahaha..."

"Stop making fun of me Your Majesty Kun Tan!"

"Don't use my full name next time! I may be the next king of Tangeria but I am still your big brother and nothing will change our relationship. Before being who I am, I am firstly your family. You must only call me Kun, like in the past. I will always be your Kun."

"I know, I know big brother! I was just teasing you. Let me take a look at you, you're so handsome now! You must have broken the hearts of many girls out there, young man! Say, how many!"

After these remarks, they burst out laughing and staring one at each other.

A future king dressed up in vivid colours, wearing a long earring with a green stone in his right ear and an invisible half-moon in the left ear, a ring with blue stones and a shell flute at the neck.

When his black hair was blown by the wind, it was covering the blue sky above Tangerine's head and was sheltering her from the strong rays of the sun. He is back and is her own sun.
