Remi was running to distance his position from his grandpa.

"I think this is far enough to give me some time."

I can do this, just do as that old man does. Gather surrounding mana in the area and draw it into your body, purify the mana, then, channel it into your sword.

Remi getting irritated from what his grandpa said

That shitty old man, did he think I can fight him like this. There's nothing I could do to fight him if I can't use magic...for now...I guess...

Remi hid behind a tree and looked back if to see if his grandpa was still at his back chasing him.

Remi sat exhausted from running.

"I think I'll rest for a bit."

"You shouldn't let your guard down when you know that enemy is nearby, Remi."

Remi was stunned when he heard that voice that came from above. He looked up and saw his grandpa was sitting on the branch of the tree where Remi was.

How? How can he chase me all the way here, what this old man eat to be this fast?

Grandpa jumped forward and landed not far from Remi.

Remi turned backward and immediately drew his arming sword towards grandpa.

"Now you decide to fight me."

"I'll fight you in one condition."

"Oooh, what is it?"

"We will fight with our sword, and you need to promise not to use your magic."

"Alright, I promise I will not use my magic."

When Remi heard what he just said, he jumped straight away toward grandpa and try to land a blow at him.

Remi's body got shot through the air and hit the tree which destroyed it.

Remi got his ribs broken and he's convicted blood. His eyes get red and blood drips from his eye and nose, the blood flows through his cheek then falls to the ground.

"AAAAAHHHHHH"

How dare he do this to his grandson, and he calls this training. This is more of torture.

Granpa then approaches Remi with a smug face.

"Y-Yo-YoU bAsTaRd, YoU pRoMiSe ThAt YoU WilL nOt UsE mAgIc, AnD wHaT wItH tHaT sMuG fAcE."

"Remi, you're too bold and naive. Maybe because you're only 13 years old, but let me tell you something, you shouldn't trust whatever the enemy said, trusting them will lead to your fall."

*Grrr*

This old man is starting to get on my nerve.

"SHuT uP yOu OlD mAn, I'lL mAkE yOu PaY fOr ThIs."

Remi wakes up and it's already late at night. He was lying down on his bed and his body is wrapped in bandages.

Remi arises from his bed and sits.

"I guess grandma has healed my injury. It still hurt though, but it's as painful as before."

Remi looked at the part of his body that had suffered the injury.

*Grrr*

"That old man bastard, one day, I'll beat him to a pulp. How dare he mock me."

Remi looked at the window.

"It's already night, how many hours have I passed out."

*Growl*

"Erk...I hope grandma had left some food in the kitchen."

Remi got out of his bed and walked downstairs then get to the kitchen.

Remi saw a food cover on the table. He opens it.

It's great that grandma had prepared some food for me to eat, but It would be easier if grandma just left this food in my room. There is no need for me to bother coming down with this injury right now.

"Huuuuuh..."

Remi sighed and then sit down. He expresses his thanks to God before eating.

"Thanks to God Sorath for providing sustenance."

Remi eats the food hastily. He then stopped eating for a moment and got absorbed in his thought.

"How can I use magic."
