Chapter 1-Reincarnation

"Whew"

Yeon sighed as she closed her book.  She had just finished her favorite novel.

"W-what a beautiful ending..."

"I wanna know when the next book comes out!"

*yawn*

"I think...I should sleep...first..."

Murmurs of disgust filled the room.

"I'll make sure you have a painful death.  I'll make you pay for what you've done to Marie."

A mysterious blond man said disdainfully.  Behind him, was a woman, trembling.  Yeon looked around the room to see where she was.  The huge extravagant room was so shiny that she could see her own reflection.

'Th-this isn't my face, nor is this my body...'

When Yeon tried to speak, nothing came out.

'Is this...a dream?'

"Look the other way, Marie."

"O-okay..."

The blond man swung his sword.  Blood splattered everywhere while the dead body lay there.

"N-NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

'Yeon' was in a bed in a very dusty and cold room.  The bed looked like it could break at any time.  It was like an empty, abandoned room that had not been used in years.

".......What-what happened,,?"

"M-my lady..."

A maid drenched with fear looked at 'Yeon'.

"Who are you?"

"I-I am y-your ma-maid, Ariana, m-my lady..."

"Who...am I?"

"You are Carneillia Aris, the daughter or the Duke, Duke Aris, m-my lady."

Yeon looked at the mirror.  She had slim dark purple-colored eyes, with long, chocolate hair.  She had fair skin and a pretty face.

'That's...THE VILLAINESS CARNEILLIA ARIS!?  THE VILLAINESS OF MY FAVORITE NOVEL!?'

'This has to be a dream, right?'

Carneillia pinched herself to make sure it was reality.

"I--"

Before Carneillia could finish speaking, the head maid that had budged the door open without knocking, had thrown a torn-up dress at her.

"Here, get dressed."

The head maid snorted at Carneillia.

"...."

"What is this?"

Carneillia was annoyed at the head maid's behavior.

"This is your dress, now wear it."

"Excuse me..?"

The head maid froze.

Carneillia was raging mad.

"You, a mere servant dares to speak in this rude manner to her master?"

"I never did anything wrong.  There's nothing you can do about it because you have no reason to."

"Do I need a reason to?  I won't have anything to lose."

"Well, I, um"

"Kneel."

The head maid looked at Carneillia annoyed, but eventually, the head maid did as she was told.

"Now come here, pick this rag up, get a new one, and start again."

"Y-yes..."

The head maid was reluctant, but her body and mouth were moving on their own.

"Yes, my lady."

"Yes, my l-lady..."

'When did this wench get so cocky!?  I'll teach you a lesson sooner or later...'

Ariana stood there, even more, scared than before.  She could barely stand.  But she knew that if she had collapsed, Carneillia, or the 'old Carneillia' would've punished her.

"U-um, M-my Lady..."

Carneillia sighed.

"You may leave."

The moment Aria step foot out of Carneillia's room, she had fainted from fear.  All the maids gathered around her and helped her back to their dorms.  The head maid, Sylvia, who was in her mid 40's, had, this time, knocked.

"My Lady."

Carneillia rubbed her head as she told Sylvia to come to her.  When Sylvia came in, Cameillia gave her a cold look.

"My Lady, I saw two dresses that seem to fit your preference."

There was one dress that would make Carneillia look like an umbrella and one that would make her look like a burrito.

'This was the dresses that Carneillia wore if she didn't wear that rag...'

"Ugh.  Throw those dresses away, I'll get one myself."

"Yes, My Lady."

"........"

"Um, you may leave now."

"Yes, My Lady."

Sylvia exited the room.

'It seems I have a lot of work to do T - T'

'I must avoid meeting the main characters as much as possible.  I don't want to die...'

One Week Later...

Carneillia had already gotten used to this reincarnation thing.

BANG!!!

"What the--"

A man had budged open the door while Carneillia was having tea.

'Ugh, it's...my brother, Fredrick.  He is one of the three male leads in the novel.  He despised his sister for, she kept on hurting the female lead, Marie.  He has green grass eyes with chocolate-colored hair.  I think he was in his 20's or so, but now he should be about 17.  He was cold to his sister but has a cute side.  In the novel, he was compared with a cute puppy.  Carneillia didn't want to hurt her brother or make him hate her though.  But Carneillia's jealousy got the best of her, and the relationship between them grew farther.'

"CARNEILLIA ARIS!"

'...'

"YOU!  I was told that you had thrown a tantrum at the head maid, Sylvia.  Is this true?"

"Nope."

"You are still denying the truth!?"

"But you just asked me if this is true.  Believe it or not, I am speaking the truth."

"You--"

"Dear Brother, you need not worry, for I just disciplined an unruly servant.  I don't think that counts as 'throwing a tantrum'.  If you have any problems, then I will give you the choice of her punishment.  Do you have anything in mind?"

"I...I don't."

"Oh my, I didn't mean to burden my dear brother.  Don't worry, if you don't want to, just say no."

"I...I..."

'What's wrong with Carneillia!?  Usually, she would throw a tantrum.'

"Then, I'll be going now if you don't have anything else to say."

Carneillia had already exited the room before Fredrick could say anything.

'I need to get away from here as far as possible.'

From there on, Carneillia schemed and planned carefully about her plan to escape.  She suddenly got an idea.

'I will escape my fate'
