chapter 1: Death of Delia's parents

"No,it can't be true,they were fine hale and hearty,my parents can't be dead"said a sixteen-year-old girl in a very mourning state."Delia, please stop crying!there is nothing you can do,you do realize that your Mom and Dad were also like a parent to me"consoled Siwa, Delia's best friend.

Flash back******

Mr and Mrs Bruce, the parents of Delia, were neither poor nor rich, but were able to afford bountiful for their lovely daughter and only child. Delia,on her part was a promising teenager with a bright future ahead of her. Siwa is more of a sister than a friend, despite Siwa was from a broken home,she always feel like family relative.

The Bruce's demise happened to fall on their wedding anniversary . Delia and Siwa had prepared a surprise party for the couple who were assumed to be on their way home. Delia decided to start a conversation with Siwa "Siwa , wasn't your mom upset not seeing you at home yesterday night ?"she asked Siwa,who nodded her head and replied "Not at all,I told her before coming over to stay last night and moreover I'm staying this night ,since Mom approve it, you can't reprove me"Siwa said and blew an air kiss, which Delia waved away mockingly and smiled back to decorating the. living room."Infact, shouldn't they be back by now" Siwa inquired,"Yeah,but I think they are grooving the live's out, maybe they would be back late"Delia concluded.

Some hours later, still the couple weren't back but Delia wasn't worried because they may have gone ahead with their plans .Not long, Delia's phone rang checked it,an unknown number,she relcuntantly pick the call and received the news of her life"YOUR PARENTS THE DEAD". Siwa noticed the rapid change of mood .she knew something was wrong as soon as Delia mood changed .

Back in the present*****

Siwa tried consoling her, but Delia was beyond consolation though she felt a bullet in her heart towards the the death of Mr and Mrs Bruce.

"No, Siwa get ready we are going to Melville hospital,my mom ain't dead neither is dad "Delia said while wiping her tears from her eyes as she reeled to get her phone and her purse ,"with what?"Siwa asked "my moped, of course or can you drive a car without a driver's license in Jacksonville"Delia replied heading to the door with Siwa.

Getting to Melville hospital at night wasn't easy or interesting with a sobbing rider in high speed . Finally,they got there as soon as possible only to find the couple motionless on the hospital bed . It seems to her like a nightmare which happened erratically. Her two most loving ,confidant and family are long gone

Siwa ,on the other hand was in a sober state ."what am I going to do now?, where do I start from ,who do I blame ?,why today of all days ?" were the questions racing in her head with no perfect answer to comply with it.

The memories, Siwa has spent with Bruce's family are indeed unforgettable moments of her life .Her penchant in the family ,most at times makes people think she was a relative in Delia family despite her family was a broken one due to her father's infidelity and improvident lifestyle. She promised Mr and Mrs Bruce corpse to do anything within her power to bring Delia out of this trauma as a foster sister and true friend . She still tried to convincing but Delia refused to leave "Siwa ,let me be for goodness sake ,I will go home when I'm in the mood to return home, I will go home" Delia hollered at Siwa in the lobby out of devastation

" Miss Delia Bruce , detective Clark on the case of your parents death ,can I ask you some questions? requested Clark , a middle-aged man ,dark skinned with a nicely shaved beard ,"yeah but be quick "replied Delia as Clark , Siwa and her entered an empty room for interrogation . After some questions were asked and answered ,Siwa and Delia headed with an ambiguous look
