The day he appeared

a normal life, that is what would best describe how I lived till now, apart from a few mishaps everything was fine. A quiet normal life, yes, that's how I lived. Until the day I met him.

It started on a clear bright day of April 2019, I was working part time at a cafe, and that when I met him. Clear brown eyes, tall, dark and handsome, he was impossible to miss. He walked to the counter; " An iced coffee with two croissants" he said. As I was preparing his order, I couldn't help but feel his piercing gaze on my back.

As I returned with his order, he kept staring at me. It made a little uncomfortable, so I couldn't help but speak up, "do I have something on my face I said" while making sure to keep a safe distance from him. "yes." he answered, smiling slyly. "what?" I replied as I handed him his order. "you've got my full attention" he responded.

"What?", I thought to myself. "what did he just say? did those words really come out of his mouth? they are so corny you would think a 6 yr old made it up". But I couldn't help but smile to myself, he was so off his game, but for some reason, I couldn't help but think it was cute.

"Sorry, sorry. I made a bet with my colleagues but lost so I was forced to do that as a penalty. Now hearing myself say that is much worse than I thought it would be" he said, while smiling and pointing to some people out the window.

" Oh no no, it's was good, you definitely pickup any girl with that line I assure you" I replied teasingly.

"Really? ANY girl? he answered, a smirk on his face. " I'm Alex, I work at DS university just across, nice to meet you" he continued, a hand extended. "Rias, I work at the cafe where are right now, nice to meet you too" I replied, as my hand reached out to shake his.

"Haha, you are a interesting person. I would have loved to stay and get to know better, if I wasn't in such a hurry" he answered. " you said my lines could help me pick up any girl, but I am not convinced it worked with you" he continued. " How about letting me try again at another time, say tomorrow at the Chinese food place. If that's alright with you" he said, extending his phone.

"Straight to the point, huh?" I thought to myself. "Well, it not like I have anything to lose. He's good looking, funny and he seems like a nice person. Well, we'll just see where this goes."

"Sure!" I replied, putting in my phone number into the phone.

"Great!. well I have get going, it was really nice meeting you. I'll see you later then" he answered, while walking out the door.

A few moments after he left, I resumed work normally, but I just couldn't get him out of my mind, his smile, his eyes, every single moment that happened just a few hours ago kept replaying in my mind, all I could think of was that I wanted to get off work and arrive home, sleep, and wake up when we already the next day.

After I got home the events of the day were still fresh in my mind, my day couldn't be more perfect and I felt like I was on cloud nine. After all, I scored a date with probably the hottest guy in town. What more could I for. I was really looking forward to our date the next day.

But little did I know, that it was gonna spell the beginning of all my troubles.
