Chapter 2, The Worry

Everybody was worried that everyone wouldn’t make it. “Is this the apocalypse?” Bri had asked. “No. This isn’t an apocalypse at all. This isn’t your everyday creature. This is something I have to take care of. I’m sorry that I brought you in here.” Val said. “It’s okay Val, things change for the better or for the worst.” Haley said. “Everybody makes mistakes.” Bri said. “But this isn’t a mistake. This isn’t something my pills can take away. The shadows that I keep seeing the voices in my head, those are all sign of the things coming back to get me.” Val said. “What is the things that you are talking about?” Bri said. “These things are kinda hard to explain but they are about as tall as us if we stand. They have deformed faces and long arms.” Val said. “It is human right?” Bri said. “No. Not even in the slightest.” Val said. “Well, how do we get rid of them?” Haley asked. “We need the rest of the group.” Val said. “What group?” Haley and Bri said in sync. “You’ll see.” Something is definitely going on here. I can feel it. I'm gonna find out what they are hiding from me.

“When I was 11 my dad told me what those creatures were that were after me. I didn’t show any fear. So my dad took me to a place where the whole town was at just the people who were parents. So there was about maybe 20 maybe 30 people their all with there children. So I was really confused as to why I was here. Then I heard my dad say, “Alright listen up, those creatures are back and are after my daughter. I want all of you other children to protect her with your lives. And don’t let those creatures get a hold of her.” He said. Now, these children were older than me. Maybe 13-16 years of age. I knew my life was in danger. Yet I still didn’t show any fear. Maybe because I knew these things were after me. Yet I didn’t care.”

“How long do we need to be in your basement?” Haley asked. “We need to stay here until dawn.” Val said. “It’s safer this way.” Val added. “Well what if someone needs to go to the bathroom?” Bri asked. “There’s a bucket in the other room. You can use that.” Val said. Now we just have to wait until dawn. "Really?" Bri asked. "Yep." Val responded. “Okay I will stand it if it is just for tonight.” Bri said. “Okay.” Val responded. “We should probably get to bed too. Haley is already asleep.” Val said. Bri nods and then they both fall asleep afterwards.
