OVERCOMING THE LEVELING BARRIER 1

In the year 2035, a great big bang explosion occured around mars, and the energy waves travelled right to the earth...creating a phenomenom called Awakening...normal people started developing powers all around the earth...meanwhile many zones of the earth also developed non-human beings...but were all enclosed under high magical energy barrier...

At that moment...the whole earth was in panick, as the strange phenomenum spread out from countries to countries like a disease...the only people people who awakened where ranging from 18 years to 40 years...so it was assumed, that the no one could awaken before and after those ages.

Also, it was realised that not all human beings had awakened among those of the age range in the world.

For five years now, humans had been developing systems that would enable them to understand this power. So the first conclusion that was drawn was that, there were still normal humans all round the earth and the probability of awakening all around the world was just about 15% every year.

It was also confirmed that not every awakener had the same ability, nor the same magical intensity or wavelength, so ranges and classes were given according to their type of power...and that no one could really grow in skill and might lightly grow in strength due to equipments...

(Coming back to me, I am James cassidy...a young American citizen who awakened five years ago into an F rank fighter class, with combat ability my fist, so i could'nt really use weapons...i just finished my studies from havard but i still could not start up a proper business, since many people work as "Rankers" nowadays, even simple jobs can't be done by humans anymore...)

(Leaves his bed and moves to the window of his room, start thinking while looking the city buildings through the window)

Rankers... these are individuals whose magical intensify have reached a certain limit. Magical energy per individual has been classified in ranks...we have from the F rank been the lowest rank to the S rank, i heard rumors of individuals who had cross the S rank limit to SS rank. But i have never met one before...

(goes to the bath, brushes his teeth and moves to the kitchen to take breakfast)

Of course those ranging from High B rank and above are basically known to be high rankers.

Those ranging from High D rank to Low B rank are known to be intermediate rankers and from Low D rank to F rank are normal rankers...and not worth much...

A Special Task Government(STG) was created in every country to manage employ pay off rankers for working not only on normal works but also on the immediate threat of non human monster that lurk inside barriers...that appear all round the world...but this applies only to those that want to work for the government...basically low level rankers.

Other Non-governmental organistions were also created by high rankers and recruited promising awakener, in order to increase their task force...

It is also advantageous for someone to go to those barriers, because one could obtain many gems and diamonds.

(Finished eating, stands up and wash off his plates then sits on his couch and watches TV)

Also, a country's number of awakeners and strength of awakeners is also considered in classifying military force per country...

(phone rings...)

You are requested to assist as a fighter ranker in the north of manhattan outbreak barrier as part of a task force at 2:00pm

Salary update: 20000USD

What the hell!!! that much money...for my first job as a government worker...

(looks watch 1:34pm)

its almost time...let me prepare well to set off...

(wears his leather light armor and leather gaunlets, leaves the house)

(immediately out stops a taxi and gives his destination)

North of manhattan...as fast as possible driver...

(As he arrived he saw a huge crowd infront of him...they were amounting to 20 rankers. 15 high D ranks and 5 E ranks...he was the only F ranks)

pfft why did the government send me here if i was supposed to be the only F rank...atleast am save with all these numbers...

(so where is the barrier, james looked forward behind the crowd)

ah saw it, so small even...i almost got scared because of the number we had to go clear a barrier space...

You should be scared because it is not the size that determines the difficulty... Hi am the captain of this raid, anderson.

Oh, we had been waiting for you sinc the STG told us they would send a replacement...so what rank are you?

(everybody present turned in shocked to look)

Okay everyone prepare to enter the barrier...

everyone ranker started preparing their equipments...

(There is no time limit in the barrier, even after killing the boss, you still can stay there to collect all the treasures present...)

i will try and collect as many materials and gems as i can carry...hihihi(James smiling)

Okay everyone let's match in...

All of them entered the barrier at once and the hunting started...
