Prologue

The world was at our feet until we learned it's real size...

This test, it's been many moons that i'm waiting for it, my moment of glory finally came. I will make my mother proud and her mother before her, and every single women who came before me. I represent my family, i know that the strength and the mind inherited from my powerful bloodline will make me victorious, i can feel it.

All of the elders of my family are getting me ready... my loincloth, my jewelleries, my weapons...

Kneeling in front of the fire ands it's crackling embers, I can hear my sisters pray the ancestors and gods, I smell the offerings burn for mother nature...my skin shiver like the small leaf of a tree caressed by a light and humid wind.

Screams of joy and war can be heard outside of the moon temple too, more than a echo, it's a rumble which penetrate the stone tunnel and ascend to the top of the pyramid... They're waiting... It's been 49 moons that they're waiting.

I will bring back mens and richness, i will exchange and share knowledge with strangers womens beyond the seas, I will push forward the boundaries of our tribe.

My spirit focus on my victory, i can barely feel my aunts pull my hair, my mother is bringing the ornament which will rest on my head, that one belonged to my aunt, a powerful woman and great orator, leader of her tribe, extremely respected.

Today I will walk in her step.

The strongest females kids, from mind and body, are represented, that test will evaluate our strengths of course but also our mind, ruse of war, the respect of the tradition and mother nature... Our abilities to fight the enemies...

It will last 2 days ans 3 nights, and it's start tonight...

Cette épreuve, cela fait des lunes que je l'attends, mon moment de gloire est enfin arrivée. Je rendrais fière ma mère, la mère de ma mère et toutes celles avant moi. Je représente fièrement ma famille, la force et l'intelligence de ma puissante lignée me rendra victorieuse, je le sais, je le sens 

Toutes les aînées de ma famille me préparent, mon pagne, mes bijoux, mes armes…  

À genoux devant le feu et ses braises qui crépitent, j'entends mes sœurs prier les ancêtres et les dieux, je sens l'odeur des offrandes brûler pour notre mère la terre… ma peau frissonne comme les petites feuilles  des arbres caressées par un vent léger et humide. 

Les cris de guerre et de joies se font entendre en dehors du temple de la lune, plus qu'un écho, c'est un grondement qui pénètre dans le tunnel de pierre et remonte vers le sommet de la pyramide… ils attendent… cela fait 48 lunes qu'ils attendent… 

Je ramènerais des hommes et des richesses, j'échangerais et je partagerais notre savoir contre celui des étrangères par delà les mers, je repousserai les frontières de notre peuple. 

L'esprit concentré sur la victoire, je sens à peine mes tantes tirer sur mes cheveux, ma mère apporte l'ornement qui viendra sur ma tête, il appartenait à ma tante, une femme puissante, une grande oratrice, chef de son clan et extrêmement respectée… 

Aujourd'hui je marche dans ses pas.  

Les enfants les plus fortes de corps et d'esprit sont représentées, durant cette épreuve sera testé notre force bien sûr mais aussi notre adaptabilité, notre agilité, notre esprit, notre ruse, le respect des traditions et de la nature, nos capacités à affronter nos ennemis… 

L'épreuve durera 2 jours et 3 nuits, et elle commence ce soir…
