Episode 4

“Surprised?”, asks Denver. “Wait a minute, do you mean

that you’ve rented the villa and we’re gonna stay here for the next five

days??!!”, I ask, giving him no chance reply, I continue, “I’m not surprised.

I’m SHOCKED!!!!!!! To know how stupid you can be, you booked such a big villa

for only four people (the villa could fit 20-25 people).” He says, cutting my words

in between, “Who said there were only four people??”. He takes his luggage and

starts moving in, giving me a suspicious smile, which left me blank. I’m like-

what the hell is going on here!? This is more like an adventure full of

mysteries than a trip for spending some quality time with my friends. Sighing,

I also head towards the villa.

When I entered the villa at first, I was blinded by the yellow

lights in the living room of the villa, the floor was shining as if it was

never used, all the furniture and the decorations in the villa made it feel so

cozy. There was a sofa in the middle of the living room (enough to fit 10

people) and a big TV or I should say a big screen. It looked like the villa was

designed for a joint family.

Just when I was taking in all these sights, I realized

that there was a lot of hustle-bustle in the house, many people were sitting on

the sofa; many familiar people; who were waiting for me

to recognize their presence, they were no one else but my MITian crew. Before I

could go and grab them in a hug; a tall, thin figure with a smiley and handsome

face comes and gives me a warm hug saying, “I missed you so much

Lexiiiiiiiii……..”. “I missed you tooooo Kush. Oh my god, it’s so good to see

you.”, I say it in a very fast tone, overwhelmed by seeing so many old friends

of mine. Then I hug a lot of people, one by one, first comes Samuel, then

Jeremy, Lisa, Aron, Elena, Polo, Mia, Betty, Mason and then the last but not

the least, Logan, my best friend ever whom I was avoiding these days because I

was missing him so much that I din’t know what to do and it was so damn

awkward, we both were standing face to face and I didn’t know what to say after

all the avoiding stuff. All of a sudden, he says breaking the silence between

us, “Oh come on! Come here.”, he pulls me by the shoulder and grabs me in a

tight hug. “I missed you so much.”, I said. “Me too.”, he replied and the whole

crowd around us cries, “Awwww………”, joining us for a group hug.

Then I turn to Denver with questions in my mind and

before I could say anything, Sona says, “It was my idea. We all know why you

never want to come to India but you agreed for my sake, and I thought I should

do something for you.” I hug her and say, “This is the best surprise ever.”

Then we all spend the afternoon chit-chatting; my old

friends get acquainted with new ones and it was just amazing. Finally, we head

out in the evening. I din’t know what was waiting for me out there but; there

was one thing I knew surely that the world is a small place and I was going to

meet with many troubles or people I should say and this time I will face them

and overcome them, unlike before.
