"Two hundred fifty times a day, chanting your name. Am I a mad man? People say that I'm crazy and stupid that I'm waiting for someone who might not even exist. But that's not what I believe. I believe that you exist and one day will definitely meet me!"
Chapter 1- Unconditioned love
Senapati, a village in india. Beautiful and amazing. With full of natural beauty.
The village was not too big nor too small. There lived around 20 families. The people there were so kind, humble and down to earth.
Today, it was the time for crops harvesting. Senapati village's people usually depended on agriculture. They had huge farms and because of perfect climate and soil, they made huge amount of money and were pretty rich.
Children were playing, women were helping their husbands in farming, old men and women were sitting under trees enjoying the breeze.
The sun was bright and beautiful. It was an amazing weather.
While everyone was playing, running here and there, busy and excited. One young man was sitting under a tree, in front of a person who looked like a priest. The young man's name was Prakrit. He had his eyes closed and was chanting something, "Devanuj... Devanuj..." His voice was deep and felt determined. People who passed him were saying, "May God listen to his prayer soon." "That's right. This poor kid is chanting everyday now since he was just 13." "Right."
After chanting the word last time, Prakrit calmly opened his eyes and looked at the sky. He gulped and smiled, "One more day of chanting your name. Am I stupid?" he chuckled as if he was laughing at himself. The priest man who was sitting in front of him replied, "Don't talk like that son. You'll definitely meet him." he smiled and blessed him. Then he stood up and left while Prakrit kept sitting there. He let out a sigh of relief, "Good to hear." Saying this, he stood up.
Prakrit, a young boy who was 22 years old. He had no one in his family. His neighbours were all he had. He had no other reason to live except for one.
10 years ago, when he was just 12. His parents were killed brutally in front of him. The killers were the Royal people from the King's Palace. Prakrit was still a little kid, he could not understand what was going on. He kept crying and sobbing. One of those furious man walked towards him and smirked, "Little boy. Now it's your turn." he was laughing like a devil. Prakrit was scared. The furious man was about to grab him when suddenly someone pushed him away and yelled, "Don't kill him. He is still a child." This man was the only one who spoke for prakrit. He was touched by it. That man even got beaten by the King's men but succeeded in protecting Prakrit. Later, he sent him to the village called senapati.
Prakrit had poor memory. All he could remember was the name of that man who protected him. 'Devanuj.' That's what he knew.
He was adopted by the villagers and was taken care by them. He kept crying. Soon, he started to realise how kind that man named 'devanuj' was. Got beaten up for him and fought against his own fellows. When he told this to the villagers. The people were surprised and started addressing that man as Prakrit's saviour.
Soon as time passed, Prakrit also started taking that man as his saviour. He did his best to find that guy but how could that be possible for an 12 year old kid.
When he asked the villagers to help him, all they said was, "Stop bothering yourself. For fighting against the king, he must have got the punishment or may be the King's men killed him." They refused to help him as it was dangerous and not safe at all.
This disappointed Prakrit but he didn't stop. He met a priest who told him to chant his saviour's name for 250 times a day. "This is the only thing I can say would help you. If he is still alive....."
"What do I do with you? Where are you after giving me a new life?" Prakrit would keep thinking about that man. He demanded nothing in exchange. Perhaps this was the... unconditioned love....
