Win's POV

I received a call from the commander informing me of an accident

I drove there as soon as possible and luckily an ambulance was passing by and the person was found in time before the car he was in exploded

I went with the ambulance to the hospital

Luckily he didn't have any serious injuries

He did look fragile and it made me wonder what exactly he was going through for him to end up on that bridge in the first place

I waited for him to regain consciousness and soon enough he did

What I told him about his arrest for attempted suicide came as a blow for him

" What do you mean suicide ? I wasn't trying to kill myself at all "

" Then why were you on that bridge in a car that was about to blow up ?"

" I was in shock ok !!!!

I had just found out I was pregnant and a few weeks before that I was raped

Do you honestly think I wanted to live after knowing all that ?

I drove the car to get away from shaming my family and friends not to kill myself

And even if I had to die it wouldn't have been bad because my misfortune is not something I want to keep on remembering for the rest of my life

I hate myself for this having happened to me

I don't even know why this is happening to me of all people "

He was already crying at this moment and I held him

" I don't want to live at all just leave me alone "

He got up from the bed, removed his IV and was about to head for the window

" Hey what are you doing sit back down you will hurt yourself "

" Let me go

Let me go right now

Why stay alive when I will only be a laughing stalk to everyone and a big shame to my parents

I don't want people to look at me with pity

Just let me die "

He held onto my shirt and kept on crying

A few minutes later I looked at him and he was asleep

I put him back on the bed and asked a nurse to insert the IV back

I made sure to let them keep an eye on him at all time or he was going to jump off or hurt himself badly

I drove back to the station to talk to my superior

With a gentle knock he let me in

" Did you get the information we need about the victim ?"

" About that no I haven't "

" Then where you doing at the hospital ?"

" I spoke to the victim and it doesn't look good

I wanted to suggest that you allow him to stay in my care under your orders alone "

" And why would I do that ?"

" He is traumatized by the fact that he was assaulted and recently found out that he was pregnant

The truth of carrying a rapist's child inside of him is not something he can comprehend

I want to take care of him until he can go back to his home on his own

Whatever necessary thing you need to know about him I'll keep you updated on it "

" I'll let you handle him but not as a detective but as another human being would

I'm leaving him in your hands Win don't disappoint me "

" I won't Tharn"

" You can go now you're excused"

" Sure

Oh and by the way what are you planning for Type and your wedding anniversary?"

" Well it's our first so I'm still trying to get a clean schedule but I'm not so sure "

" Tell me if you need any days to slack off with him "

" I'll definitely use that

I left the office and went on with my daily duties

Two days later......

I drove to the hospital when to check on him

" I seriously need to know his name "

I filled out my details and went up to his room

Team's POV

I had just finished breakfast when the nurse told me that I was well enough to be discharged

" But I'm a stranger here where will I go to if I'm discharged ?

Can't I just stay here ?"

" I'm afraid that's impossible

We have other patients that will need the bed you're occupying and you can't be kept here even if you begged us

Just find someone who can help you I'm sure someone will offer a hand "

" He's coming with me "

I turned it to the voice and it was the detective

" I'm here to get him can I have his belongings "

" I'll get them "

The nurse left

" What is it now ?"

" Like I said you are coming with me to my house

You clearly don't know anyone here so I'll hep you with anything you need "

" Stop bragging already

No one takes care of a rape victim

Just sell me if you want"

He sighed

" Get changed and meet me outside and please don't think of running "

He cupped my face

" You got that right?"

" Ok fine "

I had no choice anyway

I got changed and went with him out of the hospital

He drove in silence for about an hour and stopped at this really expensive house

"Let's go in

And don't worry I live alone "

Such a house living alone?

Is this guy insane ?

" Let me show you around the most basic rooms in this house "

He showed me the living and dining room

The kitchen was quite big for a single person

The backyard patio will probably be my favorite spot

"This is my room

If you need me I'll be in here "

He had a lot of stuff even ladies shoes

Probably a girlfriend

He finally showed me the last room as of now

" This is your room it has everything you could possibly need

There are some clothes in the closet please take a shower and join me downstairs once you're done"

He turned to leave

I was about to make my way to the bathroom when he turned around

" Please don't do anything we will both regret

You're protection, both of you ,is in my hands now "

I silently nodded

He left

I grabbed some clothes and got into the shower for a long warm bath

I wanted to cry at my bad luck but every time I think about it one face pops up in my head

I got downstairs and was met with a wonderful aroma

The table was set with what looked like a mini buffet

My stomach embarrassed me with a loud growl

He chuckled and pulled me to sit down

He gave me a large serving and I ate it all up

" Thanks for all this "

" You're welcome"

I picked up the dishes and he helped me clean them

" I have to go back to the station so if you are uncomfortable you can stay in your room or mine I don't mind

I still don't know your name yet

He got closer to me and kissed me on the forehead

" Bye "

I was still in shock and only watched as he left

I spent the day in the backyard and I luckily found some magazines

Without my phone I'm limited to this now

I was getting bored and jusst decided to cook

It's my way of relieving stress

Win's POV

I got home for the first time with a feeling of seeing someone waiting for me

I was a little jolly and don't blame me

Team was cute and this wasn't supposed to be something he was going to deal with

I put it as my bucket list topper to make him forget about his tragedy

I was welcomed with the amazing scent of chicken

I followed it to the kitchen

He was really busy and didn't even notice me

I went upstairs and took a shower,got dressed and went back downstairs just to find him smiling at his work

" Smile more often

You look really beautiful"

He was startled but ended up blushing at the end

" When did you get here ?"

"About 15 minutes ago I just didn't want to disturb you "

" Oh "

He wasn't one for words I guess

" Can I dig in ?"

" Oh yes I'll dish it out for you just wait in the dining room"

" I have a large counter top right here and we can both sit comfortably to eat "

" Ok "

We sat down to eat and I must say his food was amazing

I wasn't a fan of sweet things but even his dessert was incredible

" Teach me how to make these so I can take some for my colleagues "

" I will don't worry "

We cleaned up and after a little while of getting to know each other we both went off to bed
