Ep 4. Len leaves

All the members of Tower C are outside.

Len's words:

"It's time to leave!"

"Good bye Len we'll all miss you."

said Rose.

"Thanks...

Hey Andrew..."

"Yeah?"

"Don't die, and take care of everyone, I believe in you!"

"What do you mean?"

"No worries, you'll get it one day."

Len leaves.

At the roads...

Len is talking to his twinkler:

"How long does it take to Cassady village?"

"Three days, if you move fast."

"Then what if I take breaks and sleep?"

"Six days."

"What!"

"I'll show you the map."

...

"Point out where we are."

"Here!"

Their location glows yellow.

"Ahhh...

Show me a short cut!"

The short cut glows red.

"This is the short cut!"

"How many days will it take through the short cut?"

"Four days with breaks."

"Better, I'll take the route, lead me through the way!"

"My pleasure!"

They keep going through the short cut, following the map.

They both stop.

"What's this Twinkler?"

"Its a boulder."

"What's at the other side of it?"

"Still road."

"How do we get passed it?"

"You don't have any equipment to break, or go over, so I suggest we follow the original way."

"What! But we already spent at least an hour going through here."

"Approximately it is three hours."

"You see, how can we just go back after so much progress!?"

"Do you know how to get passed the boulder?"

"Of Course not, you should have just stated out there would be a boulder before we embarked on this route."

"My bad, I didn't consider that."

"Ugh!"

Len sits and thinks of every possible attempt to help him pass over the boulder. One comes to his mind:

"I got it!"

He climbs the tallest tree at that area, but when he looked at the boulder, the tree was too short.

"Shoot, I thought I had it!"

"Sir, we have to go back."

"This is all your fault."

"Sorry sir."

"Fine, we'll go back."

They started going back.

They took eight hours of walking while taking snack breaks. He covered twenty miles.

Now it was getting dark and Len noticed:

"Its getting dark, let's set camp."

They went away from the road and set their camp there.

Len was asleep.

A firefly flew and stayed on Len's nose.

He felt it and woke up:

"Agh!"

"A firefly..."

He follows the firefly to a cave lighted up with many more fireflies.

"Whoa, so pretty... I wish Rose was here with me."

He continues to follow that particular firefly. It took him to a deeper part of the cave.

The firefly flew up out of the cave and Len wondered why, he took three steps more and saw a monster.

He was afraid, out of fear he froze.

The monster was blind and had a bad sense of smell, it was good only at hearing.

The monster didn't hear anything from Lena and so passed him.

Len was so relieved and kept on going. He didn't find anymore monsters.Instead he was in a place filled with crystals.

He took most and stored them in his bag, while he absorbed the others.His level was boosted to level six.

Later he by passed the monster again and left the cave to sleep.

The next morning he continued his journey.

He passed rivers, streams and other places.

He saw something strange to him:

"Twinkler, what's that?"

"That is an 'Ani Human'."

"What's that?"

"Monsters in this island that can change to animals and back."

"Hmm, Okay... Are they dangerous?"

"It depends, they have the same mindset as normal humans."

"I'll go talk to that one."

The man he saw just turned into a big fish and in the water.

"Arg it's getting away. I have to be fast."

Len ran to the water, took off his shirt and swam in the water, swimming after the ani- human.

The monster (ani- human) noticed Len chasing after him, so it increased its speed.

Len tried to yell, but he got chocked by the water.

Swimming was one of his weaknesses.

He sank to the bottom.

The monster saw him lying there and decided to help.

The monster took him to land and laid him down.

Len regained consciousness and held the monster (It was in human form).

It looked like a bear hug. Len yelled:

"Wait, I want to ask a few questions, I won't hurt you."

The monster broke Len's grip and kicked his face and replied:

"Who said you could hurt me!"

Len took a good look at the monster and he looked like a perfectly good human the same age as him.

"Sorry I made it look like I was after you...My name is Len and I'm an island captive here..."

"When was the last captive hunt conducted!?"

"Some weeks ago."

"Ahh, you're a noob."

"Yeah."

'I guess he can't hurt me' (The monster's thought)

"Okay, so what do you want?"

"How do I get to Cassady village fast."

"Why should I tell you?"

"Cuz I need directions."

"Why are you going there?"

"I have a mission!"

The monster feels more insecure.

"What's in your bag."

"Just crystals and food."

"I don't trust you, let me see it!"

"Why?"

"You want directions right, hand it over!"

"Fine."

Len gives the monster his bag.

"Satisfied?"

"Whatever!"

"Why did you search me?"

"Inhabitants of this island always try to capture us ani humans and use us for work...

They despise us, but I don't know why...

I thought you were sent to capture some."

"Nah, I would never!"

"Hmm."

"So the directions?"

"Keep going Southwest and you'll eventually find it."

"But that was the direction you were heading."

"Yeah, but its on water."

"Okay, I'll make a little boat."

"That'll be too slow, if you want to follow me, you'll have to be as fast as me while I swim."

"Hmm, I'll just..."

"You can ride on my back."

"What?"

"You look desperate to go to this village. I'll help you."

"But I thought you didn't trust me?"

"You can't hurt me, so I feel safer."

"Okay, thanks."

"You ready?"

"I guess so."

"Then hop on."

The ani human turns back to the fish and stays on the water.

Len stays on his back and the ani human starts swimming.

"Oh yeah, you never told me your name."

"We won't meet each other for a long time, so that'll be irrelevant."

"C'mon man!"

"Fine, I'm Fino"

"Nice name."

"Thanks."

After some hours, it was night time.

"Ugh, Fino aren't you tired?"

"Nah, I have well developed body part, I can swim for days before getting tired."

"Whoa!"

After some time Len got sleepy and slept on Fino, as he kept on swimming.

"This boy is weak, but he looks my age."

The next day, Len woke up and they were both on land. Fino said:

"I'm in my home land territory, so I'll leave you from here on. If you still keep going Southwest for some minutes you'll eventually see Cassady."

"Ah, thanks for everything."

"See ya."

Fino goes back to the water, but deeper into his kingdom.

"Time to get going."

After thirty minutes Len saw the Cassady gate.

"I'm finally here. Awesome!"

"I better tell Rose."

He called Rose and told her the good news:

"I feel so happy for you."

"Thanks. I'm going in...

Bye"

"Bye."
