That boy

After that day, it became clear to me why my mother told us that my father was already dead. My father was not fateful to my mother at that time. He cheated with a younger lady, so my mom left him without saying goodbye.

I noticed that she was trying to hold her tears. So I just kept listening to her to let her feel that I am here to understand. I know that she felt the pain while she was telling her past, and it pains me to hear it. However, I am more than ready to understand.

The days passed very fast as if nothing has changed. My father visited our house just once since we met. And I kind of more used to it because I was still 3 years old at that time when my mom left him.

School days were good as always, I was never an academic kind of person. I was just an ordinary student who has been just enjoying my journey and not even trying to pass everything, yes that's me.

A Monday morning came, and I was happily traveling to my school. It feels so ordinary and happy, thinking today would be a great day for sure. I put on my earphones and listened to my favorite songs while singing in my mind.

Arriving at my school with so much positivity and smiles. I've heard a voice calling "Toni! Wait for me!" I turned around and saw my best friend Allan. He is a very handsome person, tall, smart, and has a bubbly personality that everyone admires.

He was rushing towards me and spanked my head. "Ouch... You son of B*tch!" I said while stroking my pained head. I am already used to this because he does it to me almost every day due to his excitement.

Furthermore, I was also excited to see him every day because Allan is my only and closest friend in the school. We were friends since our first day in High school, he knows all my secrets and problems. I can even consider him as my brother from another mother haha.

We are also classmates and seatmates, we do almost everything together. As we are walking, someone bumped me and I fell to the ground. "Sorry! Sorry!" he said while running and rushed to the building.

Allan was so Furious and ran to him. "Hey! Allan, it's okay... Don't chase him anymore!" I shouted. Allan did not listen and chased after that boy. I followed him hastily to prevent Allan from doing nasty things. "Allaaaan!", I called him while running.

He did catch the boy and confronted him angrily. "Why are you so careless! Bumping to people! How inconsiderate of you!" Allan said. The boy was in shock. He didn't even fight back, maybe because of shock or was just trying to be cool.

I stared at the boy and became so curious because He looks very familiar. As I was slowly walking toward them, I rushed and stopped Allan from punching the boy. "Allan stop! He's my brother!".

Allan stopped and looked at me with a shocked expression on his face. He was too clueless about what I just said. "Stop! Please stop! He is my brother!" I said frantically. The boy was also shocked and stared at me. "What are you saying?" he asked with confusion.

Allan stopped attacking the boy and relaxed. "Yes, Toni! Why are you talking sh*t!?" he asked. "Okay, just relax you two! I will explain it later after the class. Let's go now, we're almost late!" I replied.

After what happened, the three of us rushed to our classrooms.

I came in first and then followed by Allan. We took our designated seats and sat quietly. I don't know how to start and explain everything. The silence has been constant. I don't know why I can't tell him freely about the mess of my family. I am very close to Allan, however this time I can't tell him straight. Why am I afraid? Am I afraid that he will judge me and that my life was all a lie from the start?

An hour passed, and while teacher Anne was having her discussions, another teacher came to announce something. "Hi, Miss Anne! I would like to announce something in your class." the teacher said. Miss Anne was expecting them, saying "Oh! is it the new student? I was expecting him to arrive now".

The teacher introduced a new student and to my surprise, it was the boy! Oh, my! It was that boy!

"Good morning students! You will have a new classmate starting today." the teacher said. "Calvin please introduce your self" he added.

"Hi! Good morning everyone! I am Calvin Striker, 17 years old from Lansville Elites High School. Nice to meet you everybody" he said.

Allan and I stared at each other as we saw Calvin in front of us introducing himself politely. I almost laughed looking at Allan's face that was awkwardly trying to hold his laughter, He surely felt the awkwardness of our situation now.

I just can't imagine that he would be my classmate. With all the drama that just happened earlier, it certainly is awkward.

Allan almost punched him because of anger and I awkwardly told him that he is my brother... Oh My Gosh! This is just so awkward. Waaaaaaah!

After introducing himself, he was ordered to sit behind my seat, and as he approached, he then winked at me playfully. I got irritated! He knows that we felt the awkwardness right now. Can I just punch this man? haha! If only I could.

Today is a fun day thinking of all the things just happened. It even passed so fast, maybe that is what happens when you are enjoying the day.

After a long day at school, Allan and I are going home, while walking and talking about what happened today. Someone called my name in a very Irritating way "Hey Toni the Loser! Wait up for me!" and we both saw Calvin Walking towards us.

Allan got irritated again but was trying his hard not to punch my supposed to be, a gentle brother to me. This Arrogant half-brother of mine is just such a big Problem to face every day. How come he became my brother in the first place.

We waited for him nicely hoping for a reconciliation from him. But behind my mind, I believe it wouldn't happen for sure.
