Episode 5

Two months have passed since I came to live in the pack house.

My sister always makes a point of reminding me of my place, and that she will be the Luna.

The ceremony of union between Lucily and the Alpha has been postponed. The King of all werewolves is coming to our pack.

Everything is being prepared down to the smallest detail to receive him.

The king will stay in a large, separate house, just for him, his beta, and his warriors.

No one has ever seen his face except his parents and his friend. He wears a golden mask. Maybe he has something to hide like me, or maybe it's because he's really ugly.

I'm cleaning the stairs and I hear my sister talking to Hakan. As always, she wants to spend a lot of money on jewelry, clothes from the best designers, spas, and much more. Sometimes, Hakan loses his patience, Lucily doesn't act like a Luna concerned about her mate and her people. She only thinks of herself, but he deserves it, for he was the one who chose her.

I think I'm coming to terms with this life of loneliness, really, my destiny is not to be loved. I didn't want much, neither luxury nor wealth, I just wanted a simple place to call my own, and maybe a mate who would love me for who I am, without calling me useless or an aberration.

Lucily asks to go to the spa, the Alpha gives his consent, from so much insistence on her part.

"My darling, a Luna has to walk according to her status."

"You are not Luna yet, Lucily, but I will let you go, just leave me in peace."

"I know you will miss me, my dear. But, I will be back soon. Now, order that good-for-nothing to come up and pack my bags."

I hear footsteps coming towards me.

He speaks trying to kiss me, the mate bond makes me want him, but it won't do, I'm going to humiliate myself.

"You will never have me Hakan." (I say, kicking him in the groin and running out without looking back).

"You can't escape me, Sally! We are destined for each other."

I run as fast as I can, I can't explain it, but the speed I can run in my human body is supernatural.

When I look around, I'm already on the main road, in the middle of the forest.
