Chapter 1

I drag my self across the living room as Charles my mum's husband drags me by the leg and smacks me across the face as he pulls my hair.

"You fucking bitch where do you think your going?"Charles say's as he throws me against the wall.

"I'm sorry I was only going to the hospital to visit mum"I say as tears roll down my cheek.

"WHAT,you going to your mum so she can see all these bruises and cuts"My mothers husband Charles yells as he whacks me with a belt.

The pain was unbearable but I had to try my best to keep it in the more I ask for mercy the more fun it was for him.

"No I wasn't going to the hospital to show mum the bruises I was go..."And a alcohol bottle collides with my head.

"Not so tough now are you"Charles says as he drags me by the hair as I am half unconscious,Taking me all the way to the kitchen.

"Lets see what to hurt you with next"Charles goes towards the cabinet and turns around facing me with a knife in his hand.

"Pl..llea.se ss..ttop"I say as he swings the knife and it cuts my arm and he swings continuously,he stops and he throws a bottle of wine at my head again.

My eyes go blurry.

"FREEZE PUT YOUR HANDS UP"

Those are the last words I heard before darkness fell up on me.

I wake up in a unfamiliar place and I begin to panic just as a nurse comes running in.

"It's okay"The nurse says as she slowly makes me lay down on the bed again.

"Wh..where am I"I say as I continue to look around.

"Everything's fine honey your in the hospital"She says as she checks the bandages around my arm.

"Wh..why a.am I here?"I say as I look at the nurse.

"Your neighbours rang the police saying that they have had enough with your dads behaviour always beating you up but he went to far this time and the police broke into your house to see your dad in action and that's how your here"She says as she smiles at me and mixed with that smile I can see she feels sorry for me.

"H..how long have I been here for?"I ask trying to look for a calendar.

"It's been a couple of weeks"She says and grabs my arm gently to lift me up.

"Here eat this medicine and after your done make sure to walk around in the hospital to help yourself loosen your muscles"She says as she pours me a cup of water and leaves the door opened for me.

I get up and leave the room after getting changed I remember my mum is in this hospital and I see nurses and doctors rushing in and out of her ward so I quicken my pace to her room.

"D..doc..tor I w...wwanna meet my dd..daughter ff.for the ll..last time"I see my mum and a tear roles down my cheek.

I rush in towards my mums side.

"Mum don't worry I'm by your side"I say as her tears role down as well.

"Iris I'm sorry I have been selfish mm..my precious daughter I can't believe I a..llowed him to take care of you look what he has done to you"She says as she looks at the bruises and cuts on my body.

"M..mum its okay"I say as I grab her hand.

"No its not listen to me I lied to you your biological father is alive"She says to me as if I'm gonna stomp out the room right this instant.

"How,but why did you lie to me?"Tears continue to roll down my cheek.

"Because I believe who and what your father is and does will cause harm to you and I don't like the world he is apart of,so I lied to you that he was dead"She tightens her hands in mine.

"Mum,just why,you were never gonna tell me in the first place if you were never in this situation you were planning to hide this from me even longer weren't you"I say as I can't believe what she is saying.

"My precious Iris I informed you're dad about this so he will pick you up tomorrow"She says as if I am happy with her decision.

"Mum I don't want to go"

"I love you m..my bbb..aby II..Irris.."She says and her monitor goes of and a straight line begins to show I begin to cry none stop the doctor tells me to wait outside I go to the front desk to tell them about the death of my mother so they can hold a funeral for her.

Time skip

I'm at my mothers funeral and my mum's friends and relatives come and send there prayers and they hug me as they come and go.

The next morning I wake up and have shower and usually I get changed very quickly but I'm not in the mood I take my time to do everything today and the doorbell rings I slowly open the door.

"Iris Blythe,I'm Axton your father"The man in front of me engulfs me into a hug.I slowly push him off me.

"What do you want?"I say as four men walk past me and quickly come back down with all my belongings.

"I'm taking you with me and call me father"He says as he makes way for me to leave the house but I don't move a inch,he sends another man in who throws me over his shoulder and walks towards the car as I struggle to get him to stop carrying me he gently puts me in the car and locks it.

"Take her home I have some business to take care of"As Axton walks towards my mums house and after a few minutes a truck comes with people in it,I don't know what happened cause the driver drove me away and after like a million years we enter through a huge black gate as the car stopped right outside the mansions doors.

"Miss would you please"The driver says as he waits for me to get out the car.

I slowly step out as I debate in my head should I run or not but those thoughts vanished as a lady came out the mansion.

"You must be Miss Iris Blythe,I'm Helen"She says as she slowly guides me into the mansion and up the stairs towards a room door.

"This is your room miss"She opens the door and I follow her in.

"So how do you like it miss"I feel very uncomfortable with her keep calling me miss.

"Please do call me Iris"

"But mis..s okay Iris"She says as I look at her like what did I just say.

"Go have a bath I will lay out your clothes on the bed"She says as I walk into the bathroom and take a quick shower I finish with my shower and put on the clothes she had laid out for me.

"Gosh what is going on"I say quietly as I leave the room and try to find the way downstairs,I bump into someone.

"You must be Axton's daughter Iris right I'm Eric"He says as he smiles at me as my stomach grumbles.

"You're hungry right follow me"I follow him to the kitchen and he gets one of the maids to prepare me a meal.

"Here"He passes me the food as he is about to leave the room.

"Thanks"I say as he leaves with a smirk on his face,I finish eating and walk in the kitchen and open the door that lead me out into the garden,it was beautiful and then I heard Axton yelling.

"WHERE DID SHE GO,DID SHE RUN AWAY"He says in a panic,I'm not moving I'm staying in the garden,I'm just gonna let him panic.

"Boss she's in the garden on the bench"Someone says as Axton walks towards me.

"Iris finally I get to talk to you,You will be living here from now on and I don't want to hear anything from you about not wanting to stay here"He says as he walks back into the mansion.

I head back into my room thanks to Helen if it weren't for her I would have never found my room I collapse on my bed and try to process everything in my head.
