Alexander was sitting on his bed staring aimlessly towards the green forest.

Rays of sunlight fell on his face through the window making his illuminating grey eyes that held no emotions look almost transparent.His thick,lustrous hair glistened under the rays of light. There was a small mole under the side of his left eye that could only be seen if you paid close attention.

His face strong and defined , moulded into perfection.

His appearance so striking that it was almost sinful.

A year had past.

A year away from the elders and his so called parents and their disgusting nagging for finding a Luna suitable for the pack or shall i say a Mate.

Mates.

He scoffed.The idea itself was humorous to him.

To him,having a mate was nothing but weakness.A weakness that he was adamant to get rid of, the moment he finds her,well that is if he has one.

Considering the things he had done he knew he was damned for life.

Then a sudden knock disrupted his thoughts.

“Come in”

The door opened revealing Sam.Samuel Zachariah

He was one of his friends, not that he'll ever admit it but he was only one of the few people that he actually tolerated.

Sam was the current Delta's son and in training to be the next Delta.

As soon as he came inside, he bowed in respect for his soon to be alpha.

“I have some news”he spoke nervously.

Alexander raised a perfectly sculpted eyebrow and spoke in a bored tone.“What news?”

Somehow he already had an idea about what news he was going to receive.

And what Sam said next only proved him right.

“The Alpha wishes for your presence "replied Sam nervously.“And—”

Now he was looking anywhere except for him.

Alexander narrowed his eyes.“And? ”

“Thealphahasarrangedyourengagementceremony”He hurriedly spoke without missing a beat and sucked in a breath.

He was terrified.

Everyone knew about his psychotic tendencies that always surfaced whenever the talk of his mate or his future luna came out.

Everyone in Alexander's family and his somewhat close to friends were aware how he was planning to slaughter his mate if he ever found her.

And Alexander was never the one for empty talks so they knew that he meant it.

They could only pray for the poor girl that was mated to him although they somehow thought that his mate was going to be just the female version of him, twisted and evil.

Only then they thought the two of them might get along.

Alexander rolled his eyes." I don't understand your alien language Sam."

He took a deep breath and shakily answered."The alpha has arranged an engagement for you."

Alexander's eyes twitched in annoyance.

Sam gulped , already scared for his life but somehow he again managed to gather up the courage and spoke.

"The alpha also said that we must reach the headquarters by 8.If not he'll have the ball take place here.So we must leave now.The others are already down.”

Alexander closed his for a split second and opened them. Now his beautiful grey eyes were almost pitch black.

Nonetheless he got up and took whatever he needed and headed outside.

As soon as he went out he was met with a sight of his Beta in training,Nickolas Wilson and Gemma,Elliot Wright.

Elliot's mate Cassidy and Sam's mate,Leah chatted a bit away from them.

Nickolas was the first one to notice him as he bowed later followed by others.

Alexander nodded and went straight to his car.

"𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 ," He said through their mind link.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧? 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠? "asked Nick.

"𝐍𝐨" Alexander stated.

Elliot whined."𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝟓 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟔-𝟕 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜.

" 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐡*𝐭? "remarked Alexander, annoyed.

"𝐃𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞!"Quipped Sam.

"𝐈 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄*! hissed Alexander and cut them off while driving away.

Sam sighed.

" It's ok dude. Let's just go."Nick said.

"But what are you gonna tell the alpha though?" asked Cassidy curiously.

"I don't know babe let's just hope he doesn't kill us" Sam gaped while staring at the spot where Alexander's car was at.

Nick chuckled nervously while Elliot gulped.

Leah looked at them."Come on, I'm sure the Luna won't let him do anything to you guys.......maybe?"

The boys couldn't help but feel a shudder.

With that they left for the airport.

Meanwhile Alexander was fuming as he drove in an inhumane speed. His knuckles turned white as he gripped onto the steering wheel tightly.

He was pissed.

"F*ck it! "

He abruptly stopped in the middle of nowhere trying to calm himself.

Alexander was never the one to take orders.He was cold, manipulative, ruthless and was infamous for his unpredictable behaviour. He was what they called a Monster and he lived up to it.

He wasn't going to accept this engagement.He was going to have his way no matter what.He was willing to kill his old man if he had to.

After a couple of minutes he drove away.

He reached the quarters after 6 hours.

The head butler was there to welcome him along with the other servants,his pack and his friends that arrived quite a few hours before him.

The head butler bowed as always as the others when Alexander came out of his car.

"Good evening Master."

Alexander nodded with a blank face without looking at anyone.

The head butler nervously stated."Your mother and father are this way Sir" and he led the way.

Alexander's eyes hardened as he walked into the gigantic mansion.

As soon as he went inside he was engulfed in a hug by his step-mother making him sneer and pull away.

Although Lauren was hurt at the gesture she still smiled nonetheless."How are you son?"

Alexander scoffed and muttered."Whatever."before walking away.

His friends watched him with eyes wide gaping like some fish out of water.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?"his dad Vincent Knight fumed.

Alexander didn't give any response making him more angry as he was before.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!COME BACK HERE THIS INSTANCE?!!"he demanded,his face now turning a shade of red from the anger.

"Stop it"Lauren tried calm her husband.

"What?"he looked at her flabbergasted."Your telling ME to stop???? Look at that bastard!"

"He must be tired.He drove for 6 hours for god sake" she tried to reason with him.

But it only made the current alpha angrier."IT WAS HIS IDEA TO DO SO!!! "

"Please let him rest, dear.He must be tired.He needs it. For tomorrow" she requested.

Vincent agreed although he was still fuming."Fine! But HE HAS TO MARRY THST GIRL NO MATTER WHAT!! "

With that he too walked away leaving Lauren with Alexander's friends and their mates.

With a smile she turned to them."All of you must be hungry.The dinner is ready."

There was a chorus of "Thank you Luna."

With that Lauren smiled for the last time and went to find her husband.
