Living a new life

I laid down on my bed trying to think of how my mum could possibly be that selfish, even to her own daughter.

My name is Serena Linons , I'm currently seventeen years old and I'm the only daughter of my parents, my father is one of the top three famous actors in my country so I can say we are stinkly rich, we had a lot of properties and I even had two cars at my age.

My mum is a Nigerian and she met my dad in an airplane as an air hostess, how weird...

So I guess that makes me an African American, unlike other African Americans, I had curly light brown hair, white skin , which almost as white as my dad's, light brown eyes and think pink lips, though my mum was also very light in complexion, I still argue with her often that I got my beauty from my dad.

Things got harder for me when my dad started travelling to different countries to act in movies, I barely spend a year in highschool before I travel to another country and I hated travelling.

At first, this wasn't a problem for me because me and my mum usually stay at Bonny island in Nigeria because my mum thought it will be best for me to live in Nigeria so I wouldn't get spoilt or whatever 🙄 , but as time went on my mum started taking advice from some of her friends that she should be possessive of my dad ....

And I was suprised that she was stupid enough to take their advice so insisted on us following my dad to wherever he went, "what the heck!?".

I think I've already been to ten countries in the seventeen years of my life

"and now my dad is travelling to New Zealand within a year" I thought aloud. Suddenly my room door opened and I was suprised to see my dad. " Dad!, I've missed you so much"I said as I stood up from my bed and literally jumped into his arms. " Don't worry Serena, I'll be staying home just for a month for you okay?" He said as he fiddled with my hair. " Alright dad" I said sadly, I really wished he could stay for like a year or two. " hurry up, pack your things and change, we are heading to the airport now okay?" He said as he released me from his tight hug. "okay dad" I muttered, and with that he closed the door.

I hurriedly packed my bag and I changed into a crop top and nude baggy trousers and I went into the car. " how many times will I tell you not to wear a cropped top when you are going out?, you look indecent!" My mum said angrily as I sat in the car.

"I....."

" You don't have to make such a fuss about little things like this Kemi, she's just a teenager" My dad said interrupting me. " ugh!" She said as she rolled her eyes.

After that, there was silence in the car and I was feeling quite uncomfortable with it, so I tried to break the silence. " So dad.... I'm I going to a private or public school?" I said hoping I would get a reply. " And what sort of question is that, have you ever gone to a public school before?" My mum snapped. " You don't have to be so harsh at everything" My dad snapped back. " Why are they always arguing?" I thought.

About five minutes later, we got to the airport. While we were checking our luggages, I excused myself to the toilet and when I came back, I saw my mum and my dad hugging each other. " But they just fought ten minutes ago" I said to myself. We were on the plane like for approximately fifteen hours or so, before we landed.

Unlike other teenagers, I wasn't scared or airplane flights or lands because I travelled a lot. We got down and we headed straight for our house, New Zealand was a very beautiful country and it was quite peaceful.

We stopped at our house and it was twice bigger than our house at Russia, I got into my room and it was enormous, it was painted in my favorite color peach and it had pictures of my favorite artist all over it, My name was inscribed on the wall with beautiful colors. " Oh My God! Dad, this is beautiful" I said as I showed him my room. " Yeah, a beautiful room for a beautiful princess". My dad said as he smiled at me and left.

I laid down on my bed facing the ceiling and I sighed. " Another new life begins" I mumbled.
