A Dark Scary Night at Crystal Beach

It was a long and I mean long drive from Maine to Crystal Beach Florida . This was the farthest I’ve ever been alone. Eve stood on her Uncles back porch gazing up at the night stars; in her tight black tank top and pink plaid pj shorts, as she felt a swift cold breeze which made her feel uneasy inside. She felt as though she was being watched.

“Is anybody there?”

As Eve got older her parents less and less continued to care for her so now at sixteen she decided to drive down to her Uncle’s old small cottage by the surf shop. He doesn’t live there anymore he died in a surf accident last year.

She heard something in the bushes by the porch.

As she turned around she then said “It must just be an animal or something right.”

When she went to open the door a guy who looked the age of twenty-six wearing all black grabbed her and she started to scream.

“Someone help me please!”

“If you keep screaming your just going to make things harder sweetheart”

“Get your hands off me!”

The guy pulls out his knife. Eve is now on the verge of tears. When suddenly a boy a little older then her was about to go into the surf shop for his night shift when he heard her screaming, so he ran as fast as he could to her.

“Don’t you move or I’ll kill you, and do you want that?” the man said.

“SOMEONE HELP!” she screamed frantically.

The young boy quickly pulled Eve away from the man before he could hurt her, but he ended up having a large cut down his strong muscled arm.

As Eve standed behind him he yelled at the man,”Don’t you dare lay hands on her again or else I’ll call the cops right now!”

The middle aged man ran away into the darkness. After he left Eve collapsed into the boy’s arms and started to cry her little heart out.

“It’s okay, It’s okay” as he cradled her in his arms.

She looks up at him and feels embarrassed because of how handsome he looks with his porcelain skin and dark brown wavy hair.

She suddenly looks up into his dark blue eyes. “Are...you...okay?” as she grabs his cut arm worriedly.

“We should go to the hospital”she said unstably.

“I’m okay, really but are you?” he said.

“Yes, I’m fine, I’m totally fine what do you mean?” Then the tears start flowing again.

“Let’s go” he said while picking her up.

“What?” She softly asked.

“I said we’re leaving”

He walked and put her in the front seat of his car. She grabbed him by his arm again.

“Wait, What’s your name?”she said politely.

“Elijah”

“That’s a unique name”

“Do you like it”

“Yes, I like it a lot”she muttered.

That made Elijah smile.
