Episode 3

Chapter 3-Close One

"he's no one you should worry about big brother, first we need to make it past the guards" the guards were about thirty steps away, my older brother had good combat so if something went wrong he could protect himself. "no..." I whispered, I'm too weak at the moment. So hopefully it will be smooth, and I can get to Calum and tell him what's wrong. "Hey im your older brother and i don't know your name, seems like you already know mine" that's right, my name.. I can't remember my name, it was so long ago. "hurry up vampire eyes" vampire eyes! rude... wait.. there was a movie about vampires and the daughters name was... "Mavis, my name Mavis" I was in love with that name, it had a very nice style to it.

"Mavis? cute" he patted my head, and chuckled at my face. "Mavis is a cute name, but i prefer calling you vampire eyes" he's so rude, kids these days don't know what respect is. "what's that? over there!" the guard yelled, as they hurried on their horses to us. They were really strong, what can i say the imperial nights are quite a sight. "oh there just kids" what is he doing?! he's getting off his horse. I hid behind Aidan so he wouldn't notice my hair. "what are you doing! we need to find a master immediately!" It was Juvis, one of Meredith's diciples. "There's kids here miss Juvis, they must be lost" we aren't lost! piss off already, I need to make it to Calums mansion quickly.

"thank you for your concern but we aren't lost, we've just come deep within the forest. Please don't mind us, it's an honor to meet your mother-``I punched his shoulder. "ow! i mean it's an honor to meet Meredith's disciple, please excuse us" he almost slipped up, i can't afford them seeing my hair at all. "where are you headed to?" Juvis is smart, a couple of kids out deep within the forest is quite odd. "The Maze Mansion" Aidan put up an invisible barrier, he's smart but not smart enough. Juvis has the mind of Jenevieve, except she is more experienced with a sword than the business industry.

"Are you Calums kids? i haven't seen him in years and he already has a kid who can hold a strong barrier" i knew it, i felt her sharp tone as a distraction for Aidan to flinch. Just enough to expose the barrier surrounding us. "Who's the young one in the back? I can't feel any magic from her" she reached in to touch me, i knew if she did she'd feel Meredith's magic in me. "Watch your hands lady" I said, pulling out my dagger. "what are you doing mavis?!" he whispered. The dagger was inside Meredith's clothing. "where did you get my masters dagger from, just because your child doesn't mean i wont kill you." I cant expose my voice, I have to get out of there before she takes off my hood.

"It's a gift! A gift from Calum that lady Meradith left with my sister Mavis. She's very protective, and has a bad temper" just as I thought, he's sneaky and good at lying. He's trembling a lot, we need to leave. "Well sorry for the trouble, Calum is an idiot if he's willing to leave his kids in the woods" damn right he is, I watched him grow from when he was a child with a sword, to a man with no brain. "why not i get Gigi to send you back, Gigi come here" Gigi was a huge wolf, she and Meradith were really close. Meradith saved Gigi from death when she was first born, I wonder how she'd react.

"woah so cool!" Aidan cheered, Gigi was also very distant. She was a wolf, but she was brought up by Meradith so she had to be strong. "I know right! hop on." I'm able to communicate with animals through my mind, well if Meradith could I wonder if I could. "hello?" i said, touching her white beautiful fur. "Meradith?!" it was nice to see this wolf again, she had such funny humor for a wolf. "I'm Meredith's daughter, I will explain what happened when we rode off." I could tell Juvis was suspicious, so I tried looking scared. "Brother it's so big and scary!" and as I thought she secretly stomped on my toe. "your daughter alright, both of you are rude." she wasn't lying, but still it hurt.

Chapter 4-Consequences

After watching Gigi get scolded, I rode off to the capital. "here i will tell you what was happening" it felt weird talking to a wolf, but i didn't feel as lonely anymore. Brother passed out, and I told Gigi the whole story, but I didn't tell her about my other lives. It wasn't the right time. "wait so that old women has an affair with the demon king?!'' It was funny everytime she called Meradith old women, she was someone I could talk honestly to. "yup! the demon king is my daddy" but what wasn't as pleasing was me having to talk like a child. "child you shouldnt be as happy about that...'' i pouted and she seemed guilty "but thats so cool, isn't it" she knew just as well as i did that the demon king is a cold blooded killer.

"Why did you choose to tell me?" she asked, isn't the answer obvious. "because Gigi cant tell anyone, because i'm the only one she can talk to" it's funny seeing her let out a sigh, she sounded really disappointed. "You're a child but you're Meredith's child so I shouldn't be surprised if you are smart," she said. She made me feel comfortable and not annoyed like Aidan did. "can i see your eyes?" she asked, i don't have Meredith's eyes but i have her hair. "Big brother Aidan says that i have vampire eyes, he's a big idiot" she laughed, she had such a calming voice.

"your eyes are red like his, your daddy was a bad man you know that right" of course i do, he attempted to kill Meradith. If she wouldn't have had her disciples she'd probably be dead. But there's just no way i'd tell her i know that "daddy isn't a bad man, i haven't met him but he has to be nice" calling the demon king daddy is making me sound like a **********, but i'm ten so i guess it's alright. "but...he- you're young, too young," she told me. I'm young, when in reality I'm older than her by three hundred years. "your adopted brother must be devastated, she hid him well. I've been with her my whole life, I never knew she had an adopted son" all Meradith did was bring him to somewhere where the six idiots wont go, Calums house. Calum is annoying, but he only acted that way to prevent the six from coming to his house and finding Aidan.

It was always funny to watch her ask the six idiots to go to Calums house, and they'd all make up plans saying they were busy. Meradith knew they'd refuse, and it was good enough to keep them away. ``he wasn't, he said something about not forgetting and forgiving" you know acting like a dumbass wasn't that bad, because it was just hilarious watching her cute wolf face giving me confused expressions. "Well, there's a search for your mom. It'll be hard watching them break down, but there's nothing i can do about it... Right Mavis" i nodded, and hugged her.

After hours of riding on her, we finally made it. "Mavis be careful, i will visit you after alright" the feeling of a person saying there leaving hurts, but I was stepping into a house i've never been in before. "I will '' I whispered as Gigi ran off. "Hey Mavis, don't tell anyone about me crying" crying is human nature, I'm starting to think Aidan got replaced with a stubborn idiot. ``of course brother, but i'm a bit scared" he held me close and we walked it. "Young master, you're finally back! sir Calum was going crazy" when he walked inside he had such a cold expression.

"Aiden! don't you dare do that again!!" He ran like a child and hugged him like one too. "didn't I tell you not to wander around the capitol,who's this?" he noticed me quickly, and pulled Aiden away. "Who are you, you can trick Aiden but you can't trick me" I was thinking about giving out a grand entrance, but I'm still unsure if Calum knows about the affair. "hello.. Im... Mavis' ' i tried to stutter, but for a girl who talks confidently i failed miserably. "you have a strange aura, take your hood off." a strange aura? Was it because of the demon king's blood?

"okay..." being alive felt great, it felt different. "You've..." apparently having Dark blue hair is the sign on the lapis gods, but having red eyes was the sign of the demon god. I would have been just as surprised to see this combination. "your meradiths..." I wanted to tell Calum what I told Gigi, because he was very trustworthy. "I would like to give you an explanation, uncle" calling an idiot uncle, makes you the idiot yourself. After explaining to him about the demon lord, and Meradith having an affair and that she couldn't give birth to me due to her disadvantages to age. In order to do that she'll have to sacrifice her own life for me to grow up as a child.

"so the demon lord is your father?! that's so cool!" cool? he tried to kill your mother and you call that cool. "have you identified what they fought about? I remember my great grandpa telling me when she came back from the demon lands she couldnt stand for days' ' that was around two hundred years ago, so I must have stopped my aging. And so when the crack started, I aged quickly. "You're very young, and very mature. You remind me of that old lady" i could tell he was quivering, i won't blame him.

But sadly everything was just a bunch of lies I came up with. what really happened was she wanted freedom so she set off to the demon lands, she found the demon lord dying and saved him. He welcomed her to his palace and she fell in love with the demon lord took him to his bed, then she ran away from the demon palace. Then once he found her again he told her to live with her, but she denied. He begged her because he was so in love with her, but she couldn't care less. It resulted in them arguing, he said something like "bear me a child" and she said something along the lines of "your majesty i wouldn't over my life" she was so pissed she used a secret spell on him. He then said "fine so be it! you'll bear my burden" she fell to her knees, opened up the portal and left. She got tired of life, and released her soul then I cracked the universe's magical prison holding the separate worlds together and technically broke the dimensions and became her child. And now i'm here...

yup there's no way in hell i'm telling them that, the true story is too embarrassing to tell. "Well your family now, Alisa please get Mavis a proper dress" one of the maids led me up stairs into a room. "Thank you," I said, then she started blushing. "it's very informal to thank a maid" that must have caught her off guard, maids are a great honor to have. "Alisa, would you pick my dress?" she bowed, and went into the huge closet of dresses. "What would you like to miss?" I know good style when I see it, back in my other lives Yuwei and Jeneive were newtrious for their beautful style.

"I would like a dress that's not much of a grand entrance look, but doesn't look cheap" she giggled, ``I wasn't trying to act like a woman. "you have a good style, would you like me to do your hair" i nodded, i wasn't sure what i wanted to do.
