Six years had passed ever since Isabella moved in with Qrizelle in the next city. But unfortunately, due to unfair salary, Qrizelle couldn’t afford the apartment anymore and they had to move back to their home in Blossom City. Isabella has already given birth to Michael and Violet Galvan, her twins.
“Look, Michael, our new house has a pool!” Violet exclaimed, dropping all her luggage and rushing out to the backyard.
Michael followed, and I turned to Qrizelle. “How did you even afford all this? It’s even bigger than your apartment.”
Qrizelle smirked. “Well, this is my cousin’s old house. They never sold it, so they gave it to me.”
I nodded, then heard a splash.
“Don’t tell me they do this everytime they have a new home,” Qrizelle complained jokingly.
I face-palmed myself. “Violet!”
I rushed outside to see Michael dripping wet and coughing as he sat on the marble steps of the pool.
“Violet, why did you push Michael in the pool?!” I asked worriedly, wrapping his little body with a towel.
Violet looked down, her pigtails covering her face. “I’m sorry, Mommy. I’m sorry Michael.”
Michael smiled. “I-It’s o-okay, but I’m r-really c-cold now.”
As I instructed Violet to bring Michael to their room and let him change clothes, she interrupted me.
“But, Mommy, didn’t you say Daddy will be here? Where is he?” She said, looking up at me with bluish-lilacish eyes.
His eyes.
I’ve kept my secret from everyone except Qrizelle. I didn’t want to abort because it was against my beliefs. But how can I tell my babies that their father already has a wife and I was just his secretary?
“H-He’s...” I paused, thinking of a good excuse. “Your daddy is at—”
“We don’t have a dad, don’t we?”
I whipped my head back in shock and so did Violet, as we stared at Michael, who was making tiny ripples in the water.
“Don’t we, Mommy?”
I looked down at my hands and nodded. “Well, you do, but he...”
I stopped. The twins were only three, so how did they understand all this?
“Isa! Violet! Michael! Come on, I made some burgers! We need to celebrate!” We heard Qrizelle yell from inside.
*ERIC’S POV*
Eric had been searching for Isabella for the past six years. He was devastated. He wanted to know why she left so suddenly.
“Have you found her yet?” I asked irritably.
Tristan nodded confidently. “It seems she and her best friend Qrizelle Morrales have moved back here in Blossom, and they are living in Qrizelle’s cousin’s house.”
I stood up immediately and grabbed my suit. “What’s the address?”
Tristan was surprised. “It’s 24 Street, Ivy Suburbs. But, Sir, don’t you have a mee—”
“Tell them I’m busy!” I yelled, and ran towards the elevator to the parking lot.
*ISABELLA’S POV*
Qrizelle had just left for a job interview downtown, leaving Isabella and the twins playing by the pool. Suddenly, the door bell rang.
“Mommy, I think someone’s at the door,” Michael commented, stopping his race car.
I stood up. “Okay, let Mommy answer it real quick. Be careful not to fall in the pool.”
I walked back to the door and opened it. When I saw who it was, I almost fainted.
What the **** is Eric doing here?! I thought, panicky.
I took a deep breath.
“Eric, what are you doing here?” I asked.
Eric looked down at his feet, then back at me with his rare eyes. The same eye color my twin babies had.
I felt small hands wrap around my legs. I looked down and it was Violet, still clad in her purple sweatshirt and skirt jumper.
“Mommy, is he your friend?” She questioned innocently, raising her sparkly eyes up at Eric.
As soon as Violet called me ‘mommy’, Eric looked shocked, then raised his face up at me.
I was actually mentally killing myself.
This was major. I knew he would find out it was him who was the father, since I told him I’ve never slept with anyone in my entire life.”
“T-That’s your daughter?” Eric asked, tears forming.
Violet nodded and extended her hand towards him. “Yup, this is my mommy! I’m Violet—” she stopped when she saw Michael behind her. “And that’s my twin brother Michael!”
“W-We have two children?...”
I stared into the depths of his eyes...
And nodded.
