MEI LI'S POINT OF VIEW

I woke up at 5am in the morning. School

starts at 7 so i still have a lot of time to help my mother doing her job at Chiu's household.

My mother is a maid in chiu's family. Moreover, arisa's nanny who became my bestfriend. Arisa is very kind and very down to earth. She befriend me even if our status have a large gap.

"Good morning mother." I kissed mother's cheek to greet her. She's preparing breakfast for the two of us.

"You're up early my dear. You should have sleep more."

"It's okay mother. I want to help you in your job." Mother smiled at me tenderly.

In my entire existence, it's only me and my mother. My father died when i was still a baby.

I prepared the table for us to eat.

"It's your first day in school, are you excited my dear?" I sit beside my mother.

"Yes mother. How i wish i will be in the same class together with arisa and yuto."

"After this, we will go to the chiu's mansion." I smiled. Chiu's household is very large, we are living at the back of their main mansion.

"Yes mother."

"Mei mei!!" Arisa came running to me when we reached the mansion. She hugged me tight and kissed me in my cheeks. "Good morning my bestest bestfriend."

"G-good morning ma'am Arisa." She pouts and sulked when she heard me calling her ma'am. She always disliked me calling her ma'am, but it's work time so i have no choice.

"I told you just called me arisa."

"But it's work time."

"Work time or not, i want you to call me arisa." I sighed. Arisa came from a rich family and it's not unusual that what she wants, she gets. She a bit of a spoiled brat but she's very kind and sweet. I love her.

"Okay maa-- i mean arisa." She grins and hugged me again. I smiled. She did not changed at all, she's still the same arisa I've met 10 years ago.

"Let's go together to school later okay? Together with Yuto." She said while we walk to the dining area.

"Okay."

When we reached the dining hall, Mr and Mrs Chiu is already seated at the long table. I saw my mother preparing breakfast together with the other maids. Mr.Chiu is drinking his coffee while reading newspaper, while Mrs.Chiu loves tea. Arisa jumped to her parents to kissed their cheeks.

"Good morning my lovable parents". Mr.Chiu stopped reading and smiled to her daughter.

"Good morning my princess." Mr.Chiu said while staring lovingly to her daughter. I sighed. I'm kinda jealous whenever i saw how a father adored his child. I never experienced that.

"Good morning baby." Mrs.Chiu said. Compared to the old man. Mrs.Chiu is the strict one. But still very obvious that she loves her only daughter. "Baby, please refrain yourself from running and jumping. It's not good for you're health."

I was helping the other maids preparing the foods while still listening to the Chiu family.

When we were young, Arisa is very sickly. Her body is kinda weak that's why her parents always forbids her to play outside and is very protective to her. But when she reached the age of 12, she became better but i guess they still forbids her from any physical activities.

"I'm okay mom, don't worry." arisa smiled sheepishly to her mom. She then turned to me and smiled. "Mei mei, come seat and eat with us."

"I already ate breakfast ma'am arisa." she again pouts after hearing me calling her ma'am. But it can't be helped because mr and mrs chiu is with her. I'm glad she did not insist her wish in front of her parents.

"Just listen to your mother, Arisa. It's for your own good." said Mr.Chiu.

Arisa sighed. "I know."

After putting my school uniform i went to the mirror to check myself. My features are the same with my mother. Mother is very beautiful when she was young, though right now she's still very beautiful despite her age. Many said we really looked alike. From the bluish eyes l, small nose and arrow like lips. I really don't mind the outside appearance's. Beauty is only temporary. What's more important is the kindness of heart and the brain ofcourse.

That's why i dedicated myself to studying to became a better me in the future.

My hardwork payed off because i became a scholar in Chiu International Academy. Though Arisa's parents are willing to make my tuition free i still worked hard to achieved the scholarship.

I took a last look at my reflection before getting my bag and went to the mansion to see arisa.

I saw Arisa sitting at their sofa with her phone. She turned to me when she heard my footsteps.

"Oh you're already here. Let's go l, Yuto is already outside." I smiled to her before picking her bag. "Hey! You don't need to do that geez." she exclaimed.

"It's my job."

"It's not. You're not my maid but my friend so seriously stop doing things like that." she said while frowning. I zipped my mouth and just nodded to her.

Arisa sighed before taking my hand and walked.

When we reached outside we saw Yuto standing beside the car.

"Yuuutooo!" Arisa hugged Yuto and kissed his cheek. I blushed. It's the first time i saw that act if Arisa towards Yuto. But it can't be help right? The three of us are childhood friends and Arisa is verh sweet since she was young. While me is always shy towards people.

"Goodmorning Ari." Yuto turned to me and smiled. "Good morning Mei Li." I blushed. His smile did not changed at all. It was kind and warm.

My heart thumped.

"G-good morning Yuto."

Mei Li focus!

We get inside the car. Yuto is at the front seat, while arisa and I is at the back seat.

As the car moved I can't help thinking about my priorities.

I don't have enough space to think about love or any romantic feelings. That's why i sealed this feeling a long time ago. It's a burden. And i don't want that.

I don't want to change anything. I'm already contented to what we are.

"Are you okay mei mei?" Arisa asked. She's busy talking to Yuto when she turned to me.

Yuto also turned to me and smiled. I gasped.

"I-im okay--." I should be okay.

Even if i know that I'm inlove to Yuto.. I should be okay.

I should be okay.
