Chapter 3: Memories

“You’re so ugly!” a boy said with a sneer on his face, “I know, you don’t belong here” another boy said, “Yeah! Go away, no one wants you here Zoey!” a girls said to me and push me to the ground. Hot tears were forming in my eyes, “Crybaby!” the girl said, and they all laugh. Suddenly, a boy came “Go away!” he said to the bullies, “I heard he’s the son of that man that live in a big mansion” the bully whispered to his friends, they leaved me immediately. “Hey, are you okay?” the boy asked.

My eyes opened slowly, ‘Oh, it’s a dream’ I thought. It’s really strange, I’ve never dreamed since I got here, does the dream related to my past?

Pretty confused, I did my daily routine and then I get in the room of mirrors, I’m wondering if Castiel still here. I jumped at the sight, Castiel is examining the mirrors in the living room. He seemed so serious that he didn’t notice me standing at the edge of the door. The sunlight reflects from the mirrors in a beautiful yellow light, hitting Castiel’s face, he looks cute. ‘Gosh Zoey, what are you thinking, you met him 2 days ago!’ I snapped quietly to myself.

I walked slowly to the mirror, Castiel seemed to realized I’m there, and his gaze met mine.

“So what are you doing?” I asked, “Nothing much, I’m just wondering how this mirror work” he said, his hand ran along the mirrors. “Do you remember how did you trapped inside this mirrors?” he asked. “No, I don’t remember anything except my name and age since I got here, I woke up at that big tree at the hill” I explained as my finger pointed on the huge tree at the hill through the window.

Suddenly, he looked surprised, “What’s wrong?” I asked. He walked out the house, “Where are you going?” I asked loudly.

A moment later I noticed where he’s going, that big tree! I ran to the outside of my house and went to the hill, when I arrived at the tree, he’s already there.

“How can I see you?! There’s no mirror here!” he exclaimed. “You, you looked like a ghost, translucent” his words are soft. “I don’t know how can I see outside without mirror, maybe magic?” I said. Suddenly, I got an idea, seeing by the look of his face, we had the same idea.

I lifted my hand, Castiel did the same, our palms are closed, he tried to touch my hands, but his hands just went through mine. I felt a warm tingle on my hands, and my body seems humming, “So we can’t touch, and no one see you except me” he said.

He sat below the tree and lean on the tree, I sat too. “Are you lonely?” I asked, he turned to meet my eyes, “Am I?” his eyes gazed the clouds.

“My father has a very big company, my mother have a successful business too, I have a lot of friends, I wouldn’t feel lonely” he answered me with a chuckle, but his voice filled with doubt.

“I always spent time with her here” he said, “The girl that made you smile?” I asked, half teasing, “Yeah, her” his eye filled up with sadness once again. “I will go now, I don’t want people think I’m going mad, talking with someone they can’t see” his eyes became cold, but his voice was soft, almost calming.

He walked down the hill, leaving me under the tree. I know he haven’t tell me everything, but I just know him, I’m sure he will tell me when he’s ready
