From Japan to South Korea

**IN JAPAN**

MinAh's POV

"MinAh, we will move to South Korea in three days!", these words of my mom blasted in my head like atomic bombs. Like how could she! We have been living in Japan for three years now and then suddenly she wants to move again! After my dad's death my mother replaced him in the office so we frequently moved from one place to the other.

"Mom, I have changed thirteen schools already! I like it here. Can't we stay a bit longer?" I protested.

"Honey, your dad...I mean your stepdad wants to move back to his hometown and his family wants to meet us too. Isn't that great?!" She said with a sparkle in her eyes.

Let me be honest I don't like my stepdad. I just can't bring myself to give him my dad's place. But he loves my mom, so as long as he keeps her happy I have no problem. Just then my stepdad knocked at my door,

" sorry to interrupt this mother and daughter moment...", He said looking a bit uncomfortable.

"It's ok", I said. " well, MinAh, you will like it there. Don't worry about your education, you will enroll in the best school out there." He said.

My stepdad is one of the richest businessmen in Asia so was my father. He was impressed by my mother's skills, as in, a woman rocking in suit as well as in apron, like who wouldn't. But I don't want to depend on them.

Three days later~~~

We were ready to move. I slid into a white crop top, loose high-waisted boyfriend jeans, and white Nike sneakers. Perfect to maintain blood circulation in my body. I looked at the cherry blossoms, food stalls and people for the last time and promised to come back.

Few hours later

We arrived at the Incheon airport. A black colored Audi A6 was waiting for us.

We were welcomed by a man who happened to be my step uncle and a lady who happened to be my step grandmother. She was very fit and beautiful for her age. She said, " Omo (wow), is she MinAh? She is so pretty." She said in Korean touching my cheeks softly. I blushed. Thank God I had taken korean as my third language, atleast I can understand those compliments. I like her (grandmother), I decided!

We all talked in the dining table as if we were each other's long lost relatives. I never received grandparent's love, neither did she receive a grandchild's love so I instantly felt the connection between my new grandma and me.

I was jet lagged so I excused myself from them.

A helper of the house showed me my room. I was flabbergasted to see my room. It was beautiful well I always had a beautiful room but this was more beautiful. My wardrobe was filled with clothes and shoes. The helper lady told me that it was done by my grandmother. I was touched. Just then my mom entered my room.

"She is so sweet, isn't she?" she said looking at my wardrobe. " Yes, she's cool." I replied. " MinAh, are you happy?" She asked me. " I am, and this time I'm not lying." I replied back with a smirk.

My stepdad had been eavesdropping us. I was trying to accept him and here he goes...

" I'm sorry I wasn't trying to eavesdrop but...thanks MinAh. " He said smiling and this time it wasn't a fake one. " And also...", he continued " Tomorrow is your first day of school, be prepared."

" D...dad (ugh...awkward) which school will I be enrolled to?" I asked. "Byeol Godeung Hakgyo! The best school in Korea also one of the best schools all over Asia. I studied there. You'll be good, umm daughter" He said with a smirk.

My new life here begins...
