How I met you

(Chase's POV)

I first met you when it was winter.

"Sister, do you think I'll make a great snowman?" Chase asked.

"Why even ask? Everything you do is already great" Anna smiled.

"Run! She's a monster!"

"Whats that noise, sister?" Chase asked. He looked at the direction where the noise came from.

"Chase, let's take a look" Anna said. He held Chase's hand tightly, to prevent any danger.

"A little girl?" Chase asked.

A little girl with long white hair and golden eyes were standing there all alone. She was clearly about to cry. But her face was calm and peaceful.

"I'm not a monster....."

Those are the words she kept repeating.

"Hey, little girl. Are you okay?" Anna asked.

The little girl only looked at them.

"Humans" She said.

Chase was taken aback. A tail.

There was a long tail behind her.

"Si-"

"It's okay, Chase. She's not a monster" Anna smiled.

The little girl was surprised.

"I'm.... not?"

"You're a frost wolf I'm right? My mom used to be friends with the previous queen" Anna smiled.

"M-mom?" Chase was surprised. He has never seen his mom.

"But she died early. You didn't get to see her, chase" Anna said in a pained voice.

"So you're sad?" The little girl asked.

"Of course. My mother died" Anna bitterly smiled.

"I'm not going to cry even if someone dies. Crying brings you misfortune. It's a big disgraceful as a royal member" The little girl said without any facial expressions. But her hand shows it all. She gripped her fists tightly.

Anna was taken aback.

"You're from the Royal Family? What are you doing here?" Anna asked.

"I was lost" The little girl said.

"Hey, If I'm lost, I can easily find my way back home. You're so weak" Chase insulted.

"Chase!" Anna shouted.

"It's okay. I'm really weak for a Royal princess" The little girl said.

"What's your name?" Anna asked as she smiled.

"Au" She answered.

"Okay Au, would you like to live with us for the time being?" Anna asked as she held out her hands.

Au was surprised.

"You're letting me in? Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?" Au asked as she was surprised.

"Hey! You weak brat! You think I'm weak enough?" Chase shouted.

Anna could only smile as the two fought the whole afternoon.

The days we spent together was happy.

Not until when you disappeared.

"Hey Au, I have a crush on you!" Chase confessed.

Au had no reaction she only sighed.

"Is that so?"

"So!, since were still kids, when we grow up you have to give me the answer! Okay?" Chase smiled as he held out his pinky finger.

"Promise" Au said and also pulled out her pinky finger.

"The both of us can't forget about the promise, okay?!" Chase smiled.

But after that day, She disappeared.

Everything changed since then.

His sister who used to adore frost wolves hated them. The one who he once loved was forgotten. The only link between them could only be the promise.

I hope you don't forget our promise.

"I promise you...." Aurora mumbled as she drunked herself with alcohol.

"I don't even remember your name. But, I hope you won't forget about me" Aurora smiled as she fell down to the table and fell asleep.

The both of us will be forever linked by the promise.
