The air infected Kye's lungs as he walked down the crumbling streetside. His black earbuds draped like a metal around his neck. Kye makes a sharp left turn as he spots Damien Blains Harley (motercylce) creeping up behind him. He can her the roar of the engine even as his earbuds blast deafening songs in his ears. He proceeds to walk faster as he approaches the lopsided gates of Grassroots High. Damien pulls up next to him as Kye struggles to open the gate. " Hey little Kylie," Says Damien in a menacing tone. " Want a man to help you open that gate. We wouldn't want you to chip off any of that black nail polish now would we?" Kye indifferently proceeds to step back as he peirces Damien with his benevolent glare. " I don't recall asking the *** house for special services." Kye said as he jumped up and started climbing over the 10 foot tall gate. " I like the view down here. Are you giving me an early birthday present Little Kylie?" Damien teased. But Kye wasn't laughing. He would never interact with people like Damien again. Not after what happened 2 days ago. That night will forever haunt him. Kye's best friend, an experiment his father made when he was an infant. The only thing Kye has to remember his father by, died because of Damien's older brother. Sticks, the experiment, had been shredded to pieces after a car came barreling down the school soccer field ripping up the grass by an intoxicated student. The crime scene was more bloody than a butcher shop. But the worst part is that The Blains eldest sons charges were dropped because they assumed Sticks was just an unfortunate wild animal even after Kye assured them that sticks was 100% an intelligent species of unknown origin thus leading them to believe Sticks was an alien. They called the government to study the corpse of the unknown species. Kye was now more alone then ever before. All the human family he ever had any recollection of was his dad. Mom died of complications while giving birth to Kye's unborn twin sister. That's what his dad said happened, and that was it. Kye knows no family. Without Sticks, no one will be able to stop him from hurting those he hates, starting with Damiens older brother, Axel. Riiiiiiiiiing! The school bell screams. Kye turns around, jumpes off the top of the gate. As soon as his feet hit the concrete he starts running, "Damn it. I'm gonna be late. **." he mutters to himself. Through the front door. Down the hall. Up the stairs. Turn to the left. Dash down the hall. Pass three doors. He's there. Kye stops outside his homeroom door as he struggles to breathe. Shit! He thinks to himself as the teacher approaches him at the door. " Mr Gutts," the teacher exclaims to Kye, " Why, in good graces are you late?"
