CHAPTER 1: CITY OF PEACEWATER

Hey Ben, someone's lying there or something! "Said Jack.

Me and Jack started to step in slowly.

"OMG! There is a man wears a really weird mask, Ben!” Said Jack.

I quickly checked the victim's pulse. "The pulse is still beating, Jack, call the police and medical help!" I shouted, my voice trembling a little, trying to stay calm.

I immediately took my coat and did some first aid. I know a little bit because my mother is a doctor. I urged Jack:

-Hurry up!

-Calm down, I'm stalking too!

Says Jack, frowning. I suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like the barrel of a gun. I told Jack:

BE CAREFUL JACK! THE KILLER STILL HERE!

BE CAREFUL BEN!

Shouted Jack. I reflexively turned to Jack. I saw a man holding a gun. He fired a shot at the victim. At that moment, Jack hit him from the back. He threw smoke bombs that made the whole sky cloudy. I am Ben, Benjamin Pendleton Le. I was born in the early 21st century, in the city of Peacewater, and now, I'm still here, the city of Peacewater. You can said that I am a "Peacewaterer". Peacewater city is a small city in Vietnam. It used to be a peaceful city, but now, it is no different from a criminal city, like a Gotham city or like London in the 1880s. I have very few friends. Rose and Jack are my only friends. Ever since it all started, everything has revolved around my friend's family, Jack.

The Jack family is in a royal family. De Gargon Family. The De Gargon family, according toJack, is a family originally came from France. He also doesn't know why his family has moved to Vietnam. Like every horror story concept, his home is a mansion deep in the Peacewater forest, right next to the Peaceriver river. As a child, his parents rarely let him out. It was not until the 5th grade that he could ride his bicycle to Riverside Park. Basically it has almost no childhood. Back then, my dad and his dad went fishing together. Those are the times when it is free. He asked me questions like 3-year-olds back then like: Hey why does salt on a snail can kill it? What is it that looks like 3,4 chicken feathers stick together?
