Chapter 1

Lisa P.O.V

My shift was about to start at Midnight Club, a place I work at sometimes, depending on if I had time or not. I sing and get quite a lot of money since I’m requested. That is something I am very grateful for since I need money quickly. I was happy to do a duet with Jack, a good friend I had made since I started working in this club. Originally, he was a customer but he wanted to sing a song with me and ever since then, everyone loved our singing together.

I started my song

Edward P.O.V

I had drinks with my friends, enjoying my unwinding moment with them. It had been slightly stressful, managing my private life and my company.

I heard a lovely voice suddenly, sad with pain

I was so captivated by the singer’s beauty, I wasn’t listening to the song or even noticing my surroundings. She was beautiful, hot even. I shook my head, there were plenty of girls around me that were hot. But no one made me fully interested in them. I gave a slight cough, excusing my weird behaviour. The song had ended

She had started her next song and I listened carefully, watching her, her eyes shining in the light and the way she sat, was so… Elegant?

Her voice was so enchanting, time passed easily as everyone watched her in silence and admired her.

Suddenly another man came next to her after the song finished. She flashed him a happy smile and he returned it. My hand tightened and curled up into a tight ball, I was wondering what the **** I was doing. Jealousy? I rubbed my head, maybe I had too much to drink.

Lisa P.O.V

I smiled as I saw Jack approach me.

“Ready?” He whispered

I gave him a smile. After some adjustments were made, the sound check gave us the all clear.
