Chapter 2 Does it have to be you?

"I'll come with you."

These words were never uttered towards me before.

Because of this, I believed that the reason for my brother warning me about this marriage is nothing else but their business rivalry. That's why I didn't pay any heed to his opinion.

But now that I know what he meant by,

"Ju ah, You know that you're the only one I care about in this entire family. I want you to know something before your wedding. I hope you cancel it, I'm confiding you with this because I know what sort of person Hyun Shik is. And I believe that he already has someone he loves, he would not treat you nicely..."

That's why I'm going to visit my brother and explain to him that he was right...I do hope that he forgives me for not paying attention to him.

after sending Secretary Woo away, I went inside my brother's house.

I was led to the main hall by the security at the front door.

his face.

My throat let out a muffled sound. I was unable to speak anything for a second.

"Does Hyun Shik not treat you well?"

"See, I told you that he's a bastard!"

"I...I didn't know, I thought he would love me as I do.."

"hah, Stop these baby tears now"

He stroked the back of my head to soothe me. Maybe if I had listened to him, I would have been living a pretty promising life.
