Why, Fern?

There were these twins. Named Rose and Hyacinth. (Hi-Yuh-Sinth) Their mother was very kind and loved flowers so she named all her daughters after flowers, even her son. Yes. There are more children. Another girl and a boy. The girl’s name is Lavender. She’s a total brat. The boy’s name is Fern. He acts kind to others but to his mother and the twins he’s a total jerk. He’s kind to Lavender because she’s only a year younger than him. The twins are the youngest. They are both 12. Lavender is 16 and Fern is 17.

The coolest thing about all four of the kiddos’ is that they live in a castle!

Their mother is the queen of the Phunaith Kingdom. When the twins were a little bit younger they both got a personal training animal. The girls were four when they got one. Hyacinth got a Nekorus. A Nekorus is a kitten and a dragon mix. Hyacinth named him Shadow. Rose got a plain red panda. When Rose got the panda she was bummed and stayed in her room for 3 days straight. 

That day

Rose sped past the maids as they were cleaning. As she ran she went so fast a vase was about to fall before Rose’s favorite maid caught it. “Sorry, Elizabeth!” Rose shouted but didn’t even look behind her. “It’s fine! Slow down silly!” Elizabeth shouted back.

    Rose kept running and ran past her brother, Fern. “Hey, Short stacks! Where ya going toots?” Fern asked, his hands slipping into his pockets. Rose stopped, “I’m looking for Hyacinth!” Rose hugged her teddy bear tight in her arms. Show no fear. He can sense it. Thought rose. Rose smiled and walked past Fern. When she knew Fern stopped looking at her she ran again.

    Rose ran and passed a corner. She saw Hyacinth. She ran faster but there was a huge pebble on the floor. Rose didn’t notice it, she kept running when she tripped on it. She fell head first and she skinned her knee. Rose sat up as tears welled in her eyes. She stared at her knee as Hyacinth ran after her. “Are you okay?!” Rose looked up as Hyacinth sat in front of her. “I. I think?” Rose looked confused at her injury. She touched her skinned knee. It looked red and it had started bleeding. Rose began to fidget and she wriggled her fingers. Rose looked down at her knee and her injury was gone.

    Mareth, the mother, heard bloody murder screams from the hallway. Mareth shot up and ran towards the sound. She crossed a corner and saw Hyacinth and Rose. “What in the holy London Queen is going on!” She shouted. Mareth looked down at her daughter, Rose. Rose looked petrified, like she’d just seen a dead body.

    Hyacinth looked at Rose’s knee, where there should have been blood and a skinned knee but it was… it was gone! “What the!?” Yelled Hyacinth. “She healed her wound!” Hyacinth looked up at her mom. Mareth crouched down to look at Rose’s knee. “That’s not humanly possible. Was it bleeding?” Rose looked at both her mom and sister, one at a time. Rose gulped and nodded slowly. Mareth looked at the ground to see a small drop of blood.

    “But how?!” 

    5 months passed and Rose has been to 17 different doctors and they haven’t found out anything about what happened with Rose’s knee.

    One morning when Rose woke up she left her room to find Hyacinth. Her brother, Fern, began to call her short psycho. “Hey, Short Psycho!” he shouted. “What do you want, Fern?” “Well.” Fern looked over to Lavender as she walked down the hall with a Gucci bag and a Louis Vuitton volt upside down ring with yellow gold. 

Fern continued, “I wanna see if you can steal Lavender’s watch.”

“But that’s Chanel! She’ll kill me if I take it.” Rose sighed. “Not if she knows.” Rose looked over to Lavender’s $5,000 watch. I bet she can’t even tell time on that kind of watch. Rose thought as she snickered. “So?” Fern said, “You in?"
