Chapter 4: Carnage

Meanwhile. Inside the bathtub Ace had sink his body underneath the water. Closing his eyes holding his breathe underneath, he was in a state of meditation. He slightly opened his eyes beneath the water viewing down towards his feet.

[Knocking]

A loud knocking came for the door. Hearing the noise Ace quickly dashed out the water grabbing a towel. He rushed downstairs wondering who would knock at such a time. He approached the door opening the door to see a woman standing there. She had black hair and brown skin. Wearing a white top and long navy-blue pants. The woman was crying outside of Ace door, he circle his arm around the strange woman and brought her inside the house

"Please calm down, and kindly tell me your name?" asked Ace. He does not recognize the strange woman and never met her before. He glance with a worried and puzzled look at the woman.

"Don't you recognise me, it's me Page. I'm Nora mother." The woman stated herself as Nora mother, her named Page. Ace raised his brow not remembering her face.

"That doesn't matter right now! My daughter did not come back home," Page stated with a sad tone. Ace widened his eyes looking bewildered at the woman. He could not believe her words about Nora.

"But she left here walking straight home. She didn't make it home, how is the possible?"

Ace facial expression turned dark looking down with regret. He mention that he had afford her the walk back home but she turned him down. Page shook her head looking at hi, saying "She does know here way through the darkness here. I think someone or something might have taken her. She told me about the muffins she was bringing to you. I am really worried, she's not someone who can easily get lost."

Page concern voice started to wake up Ace to stand up on his legs. He walked upstairs putting on his clothes on. He walked back downstairs approaching the door, he grabbed the door handle turning his face towards Page, he firmly stated, "Don't worry I promise to bring your daughter back safe."

Few moments later.

Standing on top of a large building. Ace looked out towards the distance with a serious expression. He sniffed through the air smelling for Nora scent. It was hard for him to locate her scent due to the many scents occupied Backstreets area .The only scents him could pick up were herds and potions, due to the witches cooking. Trying to smell around there was like trying swim through the ocean.

Ace slowly closed his eyes taking a calm his whole body to the point he could sense everything from a mile away. He immediately opened his eyes dashing from the seen of the building.

Meanwhile, looking at a sign from some building. The building whereabouts were located towards north outskirt of the Backstreets. The building appeared to be empty and shutdown for a long time. Ace begun to walk inside the building area, as he was about to enter the place he caught a strong scent of Nora coming from inside.

While walking through empty factory, music started play from somewhere inside the place. From the sound of the music Ace note that the music was coming from upstairs at the top floor.

Arriving, at the top floor where the music was playing. Ace peaked his his head through the front entrance. He saw someone dancing to the music, the person dance while holding a woman spinning her around. In moments after the person bite into the woman. Ace stared slightly confused by the person actions, he had never seen something like this before. It was Ace first encounter with a vampire.

Ace searched through the room for Nora, when he quickly find where she was. He saw her lying unconscious on the next to a couch. He abruptly walked through the room passing the vampire while feeding on the woman.

Scenting, the ominous presence coming from Ace passing it.The vampire figure's turned it head looking at Ace. It was puzzled finding Ace aura to be similar to it own aura. The vampire figure's grin as a long devilish smile stretched across it face. inside it thoughts the vampire figure's thoughts wondered how it could not sense Ace presence entering the factory building.

"You're okay," Ace said checking to see if Nora was fine. He placed her on top of his arms lifting off the couch. Behind him the vampire figure's drop the lifeless body turning to walk forward at Ace and Nora.

"Hey friend, I did not know I will be having a visitor I could have clean up the place. Oh I forgot, I don't remember invite anyone,"  The vampire figure spoke with menacing voice. Ace blankly stared at the vampire figure, he simply ignored the vampire figure and walked pass it direction.

The vampire figure's clinched his teeth feeling enrage by the disrespect aimed by Ace. It started to compose itself from acting reckless. The vampire figure's firmly announced itself stating it name to be Vince Paladin.

He was the son of the noble vampire family the Paladin. The Paladin family were one of the seven noble vampire families. The seven vampire families were the pure blood vampire families.

Veins started to appear from Vince forehead finding Ace attitude to be disrespectful. He thought of ripping him half having a amused expression. "It has be long since someone has angered me. Congratulation, you are lucky to die by my hands brat."

Vince quickly dashed towards Ace, he pulled out his hand to grab Ace neck but Ace gently pushed him away with one hand. Vince was pushed off towards the ground, he stopped himself from moving by clawing down to the floor.

He raised his head with a puzzled look. 'He is pushed me!' Vince did not expect Ace to have the strength to easily push him away, he was surprising to find someone who can easily push him. He firmly stood straight giving a slight grin at Ace.

"Huh, I guess I underestimated you,  brat. But do you want to make a enemy out of me by you expression earlier you know who my family is. Do not try to be some kind of hero, you will die here." Vince stated unleashing a furious aura. His aura vibrant through the room, he then dashed again trying to grab Ace shoulder. Ace swiftly evaded him by pulling backward his shoulder.

Vince realized that Ace speed was almost equal to his. He joyfully smiled wondering where have he been all this long, he finally had someone to call a rival. None of his old victims had display his speed.

He firmly frowned his brows looking at Ace asking, "Who are you? No, what are you?" Vince began to be curious about him. All of his senses were screaming for him to run from Ace right there. But with all his will power he refused to ran from a enemy!

Even with showing off his aura Ace was not bother by it at all. Ace blankly walked away ignoring Vince question. Vince clinched his teeth moving fast towards Ace side. He threw a straight punch to Ace face. But Ace swiftly dodged his punch slipping downward to avoid the attack, Vince returned after with a series of attacks. Living, Ace to dodge everyone of the attacks.

"Your speed is almost equal to mine. I could sense you are not a vampire, you are something else entirety," Vince cocked out a laugh looking at Ace, his eyes were pierce through him. Vince slightly gritted his teeth and his finger sharpen into claws that could rip through skin and bone. His eyes turned fully black as he growth with a deep tone.

A black fog started to manifest throughout the whole room. Vince suddenly, he disappeared through the fog. He loudly laughed and mocking Ace, as he was not going to dodge his attacks anymore.

"Let's get started. I can see you, but you cannot see me, haha!"

Vince appeared behind Ace attacking the unconscious Nora from Ace hands. Ace evaded the attack jumping backwards to avoid the attack. He glared with a serious look at Vince. Vince disappeared back to the fog continuing to focus his attacks at Nora. But none of his attacks were able to reach her with Ace able to evade them all.

Vince grew more agitated wondering how Ace was able to evade him so easily without knowing where he will be. Ace was just evading his attacks to not battle the vampire due to his family reputation, if it was any other vampire he would have finished with it. He was growing agitated by the vampire aiming its attacks at Nora. He quickly moved in front of a chair playing Nora unconscious body on it. He firstly started by stretch his neck, moving to his arms and legs.

"I did not wish to fight you, but you kept insisting I do," Ace stated with a serious glance. His body started to vibrant as waves of heat blew out through the room.

Vince widened his eyes sensing a massive pressure coming from Ace side, his fog was blown away from the room. As the room cleared the fog Vince was found at the corner sticking to the ceiling. His back shiver with fear looking at Ace standing in front of him. His whole body froze from moving looking straight at Ace eyes.

He raged out snapping his boy to move. Vince quickly disappeared from Ace face landing on the far corner. He huffed hard looking towards Ace from the corner. Ace slightly grinned turning his gaze at him.

"I thought we were fight, this does not look like a fight you are running away now. I guess you were all bark no bite, right," Ace said trying to infuriate Vince. Vince gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, he did not want like Ace disrespectful words.

He dashed in front Ace throwing a punch, that Ace blocked with both arms. The attack pushed Ace back, Vince returned with a swiftly kick to Ace leg. When Ace was stuck in mid-air Vince quickly appeared with a slashing kick. Ace body cracked the floor shaking the whole room.

He lifted up Ace body punching him to the wall. He dashed again throwing a series of punches towards Ace. After the dust was settled Vince stood out laughing at the sight. He saw no chance of Ace surviving his attacks there. He turned his back walking away.

"Have no one teach you to never turn your back on your enemy, or have you not yet," Ace said walking out from the large crack through the wall. He faintly smiled while walking himself out. Vince slightly turned his face glancing shocked.

Vince stared augmented wondering how Ace survived all his attacks. He was using all of his speed on those attacks. Sweat started to drip from his face as he realized that Ace was on another level, the thought of running crossed his mind but he could not allow someone to disrespect his family name.

Ace slightly smiled disappearing from Vince eyes. He appeared behind Vince grabbing his heart from the back. Vince casually laughed accepting his defeat. He felt Ace gripping his heart even if he tried to run Ace was going to end him.

"I can believe a pure blood like me is going to die like this. What is your name?" Vince asked.

Ace sighed through his mouth replying, "My name is Ace." Vince raised his brows with a bit of apprehension.

Ace gripped out Vince heart giving him a fast death. Vince boy fell towards the floor lifeless. Ace went to grab Nora he then quickly dashed out the scene living Vince and the other girl body there at the factory.
