Three Years After The Divorce

"Sorry, but we don't hire women over 30 here." Understanding the restaurant told Lara impatiently as she shooed him away.

As Lara walked away listlessly, she heard the manager mutter under her breath. "Who wants to patronize my business if I have old and ugly servants?"

Lara frowned slightly. He had half a mind to turn around and tell the manager he was 25!

However, he stopped himself when he saw his reflection in the window beside him.

His face had lost its youth and the twinkle that once adorned his eyes had long ago dimmed.

His gaunt frame, dry hair, wrinkled face and worn clothes had added at least 10 years to his appearance.

She realizes that she has grown into an old woman in recent years..

Even though she really is only 25 years old!

Lara smiled bitterly as the hardships of the last few years flooded her mind. As he dragged his tired body away from the place, he saw a car pull up behind him.

The arrival of the expensive Bugatti La Voiture Noire did not go unnoticed by the restaurant manager.

"CEO Janvier, welcome, welcome." the manager said obediently. Lara suddenly stopped in her tracks.

"Janvier, can you accompany me to go shopping for clothes after today? today is the new arrival date for the chanel counter." Vira said politely as they got down from the car. Her hand wrapped around Janvier's arm.

Janvier glanced at him and answered briefly. "Yes."

One syllable froze Lara to the ground!

Before he could stop himself, his head slowly turned around..

And her eyes fell on Janvier's handsome face!

That must be him..

Lara couldn't have foreseen this how they would meet after their divorce 3 years ago.

He was so haggard, so out of luck.

He was still his collected self, high above the ranks of the commoners.

Vira beside him was as elegant and dignified as 3 years ago.

The two of them did end up together.

Then again, with him being out of the picture, was it really a surprise?

"Lara?" Janvier said when he saw her. His disbelief was clearly written in his eyes.

Vira's expression slightly changed and flinched. "Oh my god, is it really you, Lara? what happened to you?"

Lara snapped out of her daze. He quickly turned his face away, Muttering “You have the wrong person”

In a hurry, he turned around to flee.

There was no way he would face the two of them today. No woman wants to face her rich ex-husband and beautiful ex-girlfriend in such lowly circumstances.

Especially not after the two of them got together!

Janvier chased after Lara who was running away, screaming. "Lara, stop right there!"

As her hand grabbed his arm, she screamed as if pricked by an awl. "Get off me! I'm not Lara, I'm really not Lara!"

He was completely focused on his struggle to get away from Janvier, so he didn't notice that a car was speeding down the road. Finally, he struggled free and dashed across the street.

"Lara, be careful!" Janvier shouted, but it was too late. The car had already hit Lara.

Lara landed first and was immediately knocked out.

He descends into a long dream...

He dreamed of everything that happened before he was 19 years old. The memories he thought he had lost came back to him.
