Chapter 1

Hi guys! I just wanted to point out that this is my first book and wanted to say that when first reading it won't seem as good but when you keep reading it will get better sorry for any grammar or spelling please bare with me!

"Chloe, wake up!"

"Hey, Chloe!"

I start to groan at the sudden light that hits my eyes.

"What Emily?"

"What do you mean what? Today is the day you finally get out of this shithole!"

Oh right I forgot to say I'm an orphan and today I get to leave this place. Yesterday I got adopted and wanted to spend some of my last time with my good friend Sam.

I get out of bed yawning as I stretch. I go in my suitcase and get out an oversized long sleeved shirt with black leggings paired with my favorite white converse.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah"

I give Sam a goodbye hug and go on my way to my new family. While I'm walking to the bus I start to worry if this family will be like any of my others. In the past I had gotten adopted three times and a problem always came with it. When stepping on the bus I try not to think about the past and look forward to the future.

When I get off the bus I see a woman and a man holding up a sign with my name on it.

This must be it

When I get up in front of them I just smile and introduce myself.

"Hi I'm Chloe nice to meet you"

"Oh my god, it's so nice to meet you!" says a woman who looks about in her late 30's

"Oh yes, I'm Peyton James and this is Ashton James but you can call us Peyton and Ashton"

"Ok" I say, smiling like a maniac.

When we get into the car I look at the last of this small town that I grew up in but then my thoughts are interrupted with Peyton asking me a question.

"So sweet heart how old are you?"

"I am 16"

"Oh you are very mature for your age"

"Thank you" I say.

When we pulled up at the house my mouth dropped.

It was so beautiful. They had a rose garden in the front yard and fresh cut grass. They weren't rich but they had money. Ashton must have seen my face because he started laughing at me. Ashton's laugh was so pretty but of course I couldn't say that, he was my father for god's sake.

When we got in the house Peyton showed me to my room. It was so pretty. It had baby blue sheets on the bed and white walls with blue spots and white carpet. It was amazing. I turn around and give Peyton a big hug and a thank you. Just when she was about to leave she came back and gave me a phone, not just any phone but an iphone 6s. I stare at her in awe.

"You don't have to thank me, I just thought you should be in the new." she says with a cheeky smile.

I swear to god these are the best parents I have ever had.

"Thank you so much, I don't know how to repay you"

"No don't, you deserved it, you are my daughter after all"

When she said that I got tears in my eyes.
