Those Eyes

CHAPTER 1

*(Alarm clock rings )*

*(knock )*/**creaking of door**/

DAD: Rae, wake up and leave your bed and come down to eat.

RAE: Yeah, i'll go down a minute.

DAD: Okay but don't just stay long.

RAE: (nodded ).

*(door closed )*

•< I just got out of my bed and walked out of my room to come down stairs to join my dad and brother to eat breakfast.>•

EVAN: Good morning sleepy head [delightful].

RAE: (silent)...

~/ He simply looked at his brother with an innocent face, as he walked over to the table with his head bowed./~

DAD: You two eat fast, this is your first day at school [excited].

•< I was so Apprehensive for what i've heard from dad. I--i don't know what to say, It feels like my soul was slowly separating from my body.. an-d..and my heart was dried up...like i'm slowly losing my oxygen and so i can't breathe..

I am so worried what might happen to me at school.

So I stood up and went to the kitchen to talk to dad.>•

DAD: Did you finished your breakfast? [asked ecstatically].

RAE: Dad... You know i never been go to school. You say you will do everything that is good for me, Then why do you want me to go to school??! [very confused and wondering].

DAD: Because i know this is the right thing to do! [sarcastically said].

DAD: Okay..if you really don't want to go to school then i'll just talk to your teacher to remove you from her student list.[upset]

RAE: I don't want to upset you, I--I just really don't want to go to school. It's just like something weird might happen to me.. i-i do not understand why I feel this way..(sigh ). i'm sorry.

DAD: No. You don't have to apologize son, it's my fault, I was too rash in my decisions, I didn't even think about yours [disappointed ].

RAE: Dad i'm sorry if i became paranoid, i didn't mean to upset you but...[pity].(sigh )...Okay fine. I'm going to school [unsatisfied].

DAD: wahhh [delighted], Take a bath and get dressed so I can take you to school [gladly said].

~/ Rae had just walked into the bathroom to bathe. But suddenly, while he's taking a shower he felt some fear ,but after feeling his fear he took some courage to fight it!. /~

RAE: Rae, rae.. I need to be strong. Rae you have to be strong!!...

~/ When he has finished bathing, he go straight to his room to get dressed. /~

*(entering the room )*/**creaking of door**/

~/ As he entered his room he stared at his first uniform as if to worry him... But as he wear his uniform...it brings up the memories from his past when he's only 6... /~

•(memories from Rae...)•

~/ Rae and his mother are walking home from market when they suddenly passed through a school... /~

*(School bell rings )*

/**Indistinct noise**

RAE: Mom, look!, there's a lot of kids are out there in the big building [amazed].

MOM: That huge building is called SCHOOL.

RAE: School..??

MOM: Yes, School..where all the children can learn and study [delightedly].

RAE: Wowww [amazed], (suddenly quiet)...

*(Mom Humming )*

RAE: Mom?.

MOM: hmm..?, (Humming ).

RAE: Mom, did you and dad go to school when you were young? [asking curiously].

MOM: Yeah.. Of course why did you ask?.

RAE: Nothing... and mom??

MOM: Yes?.

RAE: Do kids from school wear contact lens like me? [wondering..].

•< Mom suddenly stopped when I suddenly asked her about it.. >•

*(Mom sighs..)*

MOM: let's sit here on the bench for a few minutes to rest our feet.

RAE: Okay..

MOM: look at me rae, if you think you're not a normal kid, then what you were thinking is wrong. You are normal just like those kids; you have ears, nose, lips, and beautiful eyes like those children.

RAE: But they were not wearing lenses just like mine [ashamed].

MOM: oh rae please, you don't have to be like them, and they don't have to be like you [smiled confidently].

RAE: But why..??

MOM: Because we all have different styles, size of mind, body, face, and our own belief in ourselves [proudly said].

RAE: Then why am i supposed to wear contact lens?.

MOM: It's because you have unique eyes...special eyes.. that nobody can have [confidently said]; But you should never remove this contact lens if you go here outside, especially if you are alone, or with someone.

•< I was so impressed of what my mom says, so I listened to what mom said and i made a promised to her that I would not remove my contact lens until I was seven years old. >•

RAE: And why i don't go to school like the other kids?[curious].

MOM: Because it is dangerous for you [nervous], don't worry, you can go to school like other children but not for now [confidently said].

RAE: Then when?? [curious].

MOM: At the right time [smiled].

RAE: I wonder when is the right time [wondering].

MOM: You'll know when the time is right [wondering also]...

~/ they started walking again until they reached their home. /~

•(End of memories )•

*(knocking )*

DAD: Rae, are you done?.

RAE: Y---Yeah.. i'm almost done [nervously said].

DAD: Okay, just hurry up, i don't want you to be late, the car's waiting outside and your brother's already inside the car waiting for you [shouted].
