Chapter 4: Unwanted cheers

*Present time*

"Come to think of it Xenia.......You were extremely cold to people when you first transferred." Zenki said while touching his chin, wondering.

Xenia lowered her gaze and a hint of sadness could be seen on her face as she replied, "Well........you know this already. As I said, I was transferring all over the place with one school to the other..........A part of me figured it was trivial to befriend someone only to later leave them behind as I change schools. Still maybe apart from the transferring, "that" event also played a part and I just didn't know of it. Regardless it's all in the past. I've grown now. Heck, I'm even getting married" Xenia says as she lightly laughs.

"Yeah" Zenki said as he lets out a small laugh "Oh how time really flies"

"With that being said, I was a bit of a jerk to you when we first met"

"Yeah, you were" Xenia says while she lets out a small laugh.

Zenki says nervously while touching his neck "Well I know but hearing it directly from you hurts me a bit"

"Who on earth tries to pick a fight from a random girl they don't even know?"

"But you accepted the competition though."

Zenki says as he leans in closer to Xenia "It seems the provocation got to you."

Xenia was taken aback by Zenki suddenly leaning over but quickly gained her composure.

"Yeah yeah, but it's all in the past now. Let's just accept the fact that both of us were still young and foolish back then" Xenia says while waving her hands.

Zenki tries to change the topic to lighten up the atmosphere, "Still though. I still don't get it, considering how good you are at art it's surprising to me that I don't remember ever winning against you"

"Well I don't remember anything that day too.....Oh wait now I do"

"What do you remember?"

"I think it happened just after we battled against each other............The painting....the girl wearing an orange hat."

As the word leaves Xenia's mouth Zenki couldn't help but feel surprised.

"Right.........How in the world did I ever forget that. It seems I didn't remember wrong. I never won against you."

*Back to 8 years ago*

There was quite a commotion at H highschool. The students were all gathering around. Rumors have spread that the popular school sweetheart Zenki, and the Icy new student were having a match.

"Ah" Xenia muttered softly while in her car on the way to school.

"What is it, young miss?" the driver looked over at Xenia using the car mirror with concern.

"It's nothing. I just thought about how good the weather was and how it was such a pity it's getting ruined by a boy who doesn't know what he's talking about."

*At the school*

"Hm..... she's late" Zenki said as he took a seat on one of the chairs at the stage all the while the crowd was very wild and noisy.

The loud sounds were tolerable up until now but they suddenly got louder. Well there was a reason for that.

"She's here! Xenia Lee is here!" a student shouted.

"Do you think she'll win?" another student asked.

"Honestly if she took basic art lessons, I don't think she's ever gonna lose even if they do this a million times" the other student replied.

"Why is that?"

The girl replied with sweat dripping down from her forehead, "You see........... this is Zenki Han we're talking about. He's an amateur"

"W-what?"

"You heard me. He doesn't even know how to draw."

"Then why did he try to pick a fight he can't win in the first place????"

"Well........ That's because it's his hobby to mess with people." the other girl replied awkwardly.

As the students began to talk to each other, Xenia had already made her way towards the stage. She sat down on the chair just facing opposite to Zenki calmly.

"Ehem. Ladies and Gentlemen! It is I! Shairo Lin! A member of the Art Club and also your host for today. In the left side, we have our school hearthrob, our pride, our prince, Zenki Han!

"Who-hoo!"

"Go Zenki!"

"Zenki! The "Zenki is our prince" fan club believes in you!

Xenia POV: How noisy.

Now! Towards our right, we have the new student who only arrived yesterday but already stole the hearts of half the male students in the campus! Xenia Lee!
