Wrong Swim Coach

In the spring of 1991 at St Augustine Florida. St Augustine White Dolphins is a year round swim team at the YMCA.

The weekend of April 12, 13 and 14 1991 the St Augustine White Dolphins swim team travels to Tampa for the weekend swim meet at the Tampa YMCA. Coach Tom O'Hara and Coach Tom Hurder had traveled with the team. Rebecca Hodson is a 7 year old Swimmer in Tom Hurder's team along with other young Swimmers.

The weekend swim meet starts off the Friday session. Coach Tom Hurder tells Rebecca Hodson if she swims well he'll treat her for pizza at the hotel. Only one event that Rebecca had swam is the 100 medley relay.

Friday session of the swim meet has gotten over the team went to the hotel for the night. Coach Tom Hurder had got himself a hotel room and invites Rebecca Hodson into his room. He had ordered pizza from pizza hut for himself and Rebecca. Then they had pizza together in the room. What is next following the pizza Coach Tom Hurder had molested Rebecca Hodson in his room. He persuades her to have sex with him and sleep with him in the same bed. Coach Tom O'Hara was unaware of what is going on in Coach Tom Hurder's hotel room. Rebecca was to keep the relationship a secret by Coach Tom Hurder.

Saturday of the weekend swim meet at Tampa. Rebecca was scheduled to swim 25s but Coach Tom Hurder tells Rebecca if she swims well he'll treat her out for dinner at Red Lobster. Especially Rebecca has been molested by Coach Hurder it didn't affect her swimming. She swam well in the 25s and the 100 freestyle relay.

Once the Saturday session of the swim meet has gotten over with the team went back to the hotel. Next Coach Tom Hurder had took Rebecca out to eat at Red Lobster. Next they returned to the hotel room and had sex with each other. Coach Tom Hurder had told Rebecca that it's okay don't be afraid. Coach Tom Hurder and Rebecca had slept together ***** in the same bed.

The final session of the swim meet before the team travels home. Rebecca couldn't wait to get home and tell her parents.

Once the team had traveled home from Tampa. Mrs Hodson had got Rebecca from the YMCA. Once Rebecca had got in the van she told her mother that she was molested by Coach Hurder at the hotel in his room. Mrs Hodson had went straight to the Sheriff's department and informed deputies that Rebecca was molested while at Tampa by her swim coach Tom Hurder.

Rebecca didn't go to school because she was horrified of what happened at Tampa. Mr and Mrs Hodson had took Rebecca to meet with Detective Susan Alice from the St John's County Sheriff's department. When Detectives Susan Alice had sat down with Rebecca and her parents. Rebecca had told Detective Alice every chilling truth that Coach Tom Hurder had molested her in his hotel room at Tampa. Then Rebecca had told Detective Alice the horrify details that Coach Tom Hurder had persuaded her to sleep with him in the same bed together *****! Detectives Susan Alice and Steve Wilcox has the proper cause to get a arrest warrant against Coach Tom Hurder.

On April 17 1991 deputies had arrived at the St Augustine YMCA and arrested Coach Tom Hurder for child molestation on Rebecca Hodson. Detectives Susan Alice and Steve Wilcox had confronted Tom Hurder of the horrific details that Rebecca Hodson had provided.

On April 19 1991 the school board and the YMCA had fired Tom Hurder for child molestation on Rebecca Hodson. Mr and Mrs Hodson had informed Rebecca that Coach Hurder is no longer her coach no more. Rebecca felt relieved.

January 6 1992 the trial of Tom Hurder had got underway. Rebecca was on the witness stand. She testifies against her ex swim coach. She tells everything during the weekend swim meet at Tampa Coach Tom Hurder had molested her in his hotel room. The trial lasted a week. January 10 1992 Tom Hurder was found guilty for molesting Rebecca Hodson he was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Today Rebecca Hodson resumes as a Swimmer at the YMCA with a better swim coach. Rebecca had went to three youth Olympic games. Then she had went to five Olympic games.

Today Rebecca is retired from swimming a high school and St Augustine White Dolphins swim coach.
