Protologue

It was a Thursday and the streets were crowded with people, who were either going to school or going to work. But even with all the people there were two girls that were standing out. Catching the eye of almost everybody. One of the two girls was quite short standing at the height of 162 cm, and the other one standing at the height of at least 167 cm which was quite tall for a woman. The shorter one had short pink hair and light blue eyes that made her look gentle. While the taller one had long black hair with long eyelashes and dark brown eyes which made her look more intimidating. The tallest of the two whose name was Alexa started to become quite umcortable with all the stares directed at them compared to Melanie the shortest of the two who was completely oblivious to the stares and instead continued chatting happily with Alexa, which in reality was more of a one-sided conversation since Alexa just nodded the whole time. Suddenly Alexa spoke up, "Uhm Mel not that I don't enjoy talking with you, but we are going to be late at this speed" She said with an awkward grin. "Sorry Alex guess I got carried away!" Melanie said returning the grin. "No don't wor-" but before Alexa could even finish her sentence she was grabbed by the wrist by Melanie who just continued to ignore the weird stares directed at them. Who soon after started running. "Melanie what the ****-" was all Alexa could manage to say while trying to keep up with Melanie. "Well you said that we had to speed up to not be late so that what I did" Melanie said while turning her head to look at Alexa, meanwhile 'How could someone so small be so fast!?' was the question that rang thru Alexa mind while looking at Mel ru- No sprint. Thankfully school was close enough, about 9 m or so? That they could start walking again." How… Are … You … So …fast?" Alexa said to while trying to catch her breath while looking at Mel. "I don't know I guess I just am ?" Melanie said as a reply. Alexa just looked at her weirdly. "But who cares? Let's just head inside before we are late" Melanie said while grabbing Alexa hand and smiling at her before dragging her inside the school. Meanwhile, Alexa who just let herself get dragged had a tint of red on her cheeks, which was barely visible unless you get real close to her. ' It's that feeling again… " She thought. Alexa was having this feeling for about like 5 months or so. That feeling were there is like butterflies swarming in your stomach. What was worst is that each time it would happen It made her all giddy, and she absolutely hated that. Alexa became so enveloped in her thoughts that she didn't notice that they stopped in front of a door, or the frown that was just resting on her face. Mel who noticed the frown resting on Alexa face started getting worried which led her to snap Alexa out of her thoughts. "Uhh earth to Alexa??" She said while waving her hand in front of her face. "Oh- sorry Mel I was lost in thought, what's wrong?" The so-called Mel just chuckled in response which made Alexa look down at her in confusion. " Look in front of you silly " Was Melanie response. Which made Alexa raise an eyebrow, but she still did the action asked either way. Alexa eyes widen slightly, she was in front of the classroom. She lets's out a quite "Oh" in realization.
