Long Wei started running again. He didn’t want the evil cultivators to catch up to him. About an hour after he started running, he realized he was hungry. As he was running, he saw a rabbit. After seeing it, he liked his lips. As the rabbit was sitting there innocently, Long Wei snuck up on it. As a normal person, he would never be able to catch it. But as a bronze rank one cultivator, he is able to do it.
Long Wei pounces on the rabbit. He catches it in his hands. He then kills it with a knife that he had on him. He skins it, and then starts a fire to cook it. Long Wei wanted to try out a technique in his manual. The technique starts a fire. It is normally used to practice. It teaches a cultivator control with qi. You don’t want the fire to grow too large, nor too small. Long Wei cycles his tiny bit of qi, and directs it towards his hands. As the Qi goes through his finger, it turns into a flame. Long Wei now had a tiny ball of fire floating in his hand.
He then put the fire on top of a pile of sticks. The fire then grew until it’s large enough to cook something. Long Wei then roasts the rabbit. He was so hungry that he gobbled the entire thing down. After he ate the rabbit, he set out once again. He ran for days, only stopping to eat and sleep.
Finally, he saw that the density of trees was getting less and less until Long Wei was no longer in a forest, but a slightly hilly landscape. There were trees here and there, but not a lot. He looked back to get one last glance at where his home was located. He will have revenge someday on those cultivators. But, as he turned around, there was no forest in sight! It looked like there was just a desert behind him!
Long Wei thought, This is probably why no one has attacked our village! No one could see it. Then, how did the evil cultivators find it? He decided to not think of it at the moment, and continued on his journey.
After hours upon hours of walking, he finally saw signs of humans. There was a road! The road was rather small though. As he kept on walking, he saw that many other roads branched into it, and it grew larger and larger. At the same time, he saw other people. Surprisingly, a lot of them were cultivators! Some of them were running insanely fast, whereas others were floating their way serenely down the road.
Finally, he saw a city. The city was enormous. It could easily house millions of people. There were giant walls surrounding it. There were four entrances. The north, south, east, and west gates. He saw that there was a long line waiting to get in. He walked into the line. After an hour of waiting, he was finally able to go in the city. Just as a guard was going to ask him something, Long Wei heard an arrogant voice say, “Get out of my way peasant!” Long Wei turned around to see a luxurious caravan, and an ornately dressed boy who was about the same age as Long Wei, 14.
The person kicked Long Wei. Long Wei felt intense pain, and was shoved back into the dirt. Many people behind him said in whispered tones, “It is Zhong Wei! I heard that he is going to the academy! He is supposably a Bronze rank 3 cultivator.” Long Wei wanted to shout at the person, but that would do no good. Clearly, he had a high position, and it would be stupid to insult him.
