She never killed before tonight
Like a skilled burglar seeping through the space, Veronica leaped through the crown prince's tent. His dashing torso lay sleeping on a bed, completely unaware of her presence.
The poisoned needle meant for him lay dormant inside her sleeve, with one quick puncture in his skin the blood vessels in his body slows down, and clots the arteries through his heart, causing him to lose his breath.
She stared at his handsome face through the darkness illuminated by the crescent moon. She admired his body, as if memorizing it for the last time. No one can deny Julian's beauty, which was enough to cover his horrible personality.
Slowly she inched closer, until her hand reached his neck, but she was nervous. Killing a human is different from killing an animal. And she flinched.
"Why did you stop?"
Like lightning, Julian grabbed her arm and pinned her down to the bed, flattening her ****** with his weight. And when she opened her mouth to protest he silenced her with his fiercely that she was shocked into stillness. The rough movement of his tongue grazed her mouth that she felt like drowning with his taste.
His blue eyes, thick eyebrows attracted her. But the lives she lost weigh more to her than just his handsomeness. And she didn't like the fact that he held many voluptuous beauties in his arms, which made her feel absolute disgust. She fell away from his kiss and rejected his intimate advances.
As if sensing her distaste, his movements grew more aggressive. Julian seized her collar and rips her shirt, bruising her in the process. The red mark clearly visible on her white skin, that he felt guilty.
"Get out" He slammed.
Veronica dashed outside his room, embracing herself to cover her shame the with her hair. Ignoring the looks she received from the guards in the hallway.
"Hubert! Get Lady Giselle now" Julian, upset with himself, stood and ordered to call a lady to serve him for the night.
Veronica bothered Julian's thoughts the moment she arrived in the palace and he hated being intrigued by her. He sensed some connection to her, but he couldn't figure out what it was, and he wanted to open crack her whole being to see what's inside. Yet, he restrained himself when he saw the pitiful look on her face, like a kitten begging for mercy to a predator.
"Lady Giselle greets his majesty th---" without finishing her greeting, Julian threw Giselle to his bed, taking out his frustration on her. In his life he was never been rejected by a lady, let alone a slave like Veronica. What woman would be unwilling to be with him? He had the face, body, wealth and position and many married women go for him for satisfaction, feeding themselves with pleasure that their husbands could not provide. Yet, no one dared provoke him for it. The thought of making enemies with a man who was at the center of power is like flagging for a death wish.
Veronica. He thought. Her name gives of a noble and mysterious air that suits her aura, and his mind is filled with only her.
