chapter 2

Jungkook grinned, “Sounds good, Tae” Taehyung gave Jungkook another kiss before getting up off of the bed and climbing down the bunk.

“I'm gonna go shower now, goodnight Kookie~” Taehyung sang, drawing out the end of the sentence.

“Goodnight babe” Jungkook replied with a laugh.

Taehyung flashed him his boxy smile and left the room, closing the door behind him. For those last few minutes with Taehyung, Jungkook felt at ease. But now that he was alone with his thoughts again, that feeling was shattered. Why do those people hate me? What have I even done to them? Maybe they're right....

Jungkook finally drifted off to sleep at 6:30 am, only to be woken up 20 minutes later by Namjoon saying something about an early schedule. Jungkook rolled himself out of bed and got dressed, checking his face in the mirror to make sure nobody could notice that he'd been crying all night instead of sleeping. As he walked out to the van, he completely ignored Seokjin’s attempt to make him eat a granola bar for a quick breakfast. He ignored a high-five from Jimin. He only gave Taehyung a small, one-armed hug instead of the long bear hugs he usually gives. Today was going to be a long day.

The schedules were finally over and they were halfway finished with their dance practice when Jungkook started to feel dizzy. He was going through all the steps perfectly like he usually does (although he wouldn't call them perfect), until his vision blurred. He noticed that something was obviously wrong but he kept going, not wanting anybody to worry about him. Not wanting to be an inconvenience. He kept this up for a few more steps but the dizziness took over and he collapsed with the cold wood of the studio floor. The music stopped and he could see all of his band mates gather around him. His vision was still blurry and his ears were ringing but he's pretty sure he heard something about a hospital.

“I-I’m fine” he said in a shaky voice.

Jungkook tried to stand up but failed as he just fell back down, getting caught by someone this time. He glanced over at Taehyung. He was crying. He felt himself be lifted up and taken out of the building. His vision went dark as he heard the van door open.

Jungkook woke up in Taehyung's bed in the dorm. He quickly sat up and looked around the room. Taehyung was sitting in a chair beside the bed looking at his phone. When he looked up and saw Jungkook, he jumped up and wrapped his arms around the younger boy.

“Oh thank god you're awake, you scared the shit out of me!” he said, giving Jungkook a kiss on the cheek.

“What happened?” Jungkook asked.

“I should be asking you the same thing! You passed out during rehearsal and we had to take you to the hospital. They checked you out and everything and they said that you were extremely sleep deprived and that you haven't eaten in days… said to just take you home and get some sleep”
