CHAPTER THREE - VISIT TO THE HOSPITAL

POV - FEMALE LEAD

After i was done I went to meet Mama by ordering an Uber ride. I got there at noon due to traffic jam but oh well atleast i got there safe. I walked into the hospital immediately going to Ma's office (Yes she has her own office, she's the head surgeon after all). As I took my last turn I hear an argument going on and quite a number of people were there. I wasn't the least bit curious and just went my way until one of the people there saw me and called for me, this lil a-hole is what i thought of him immediately (don't care about my language lils' , don't immitate me). I grunted then went to the bickering spot and immediately thier stupid and selfish voices filled my head but what got my attention was my mother's co-worker who was at the center, immediately i thought that she is the accused in this shit going on.

They then explained the whole stuff to me that a patient died due to her carelessness of overdose use of anaesthesia and bringing alcohol to the victim to drink beforehand. I looked at each one of them then asked them the patient room number and after I was told i dropped a bomb to them telling them there is a CCTV camera around there and one determinely argued back saying it wasn't in use and he doubts it would even capture what happened. I calmly looked at him and searched his thoughts then smiled and i asked him why he was so sure of that when it's in my mother's region. He looked very pale, almost as pale as an empty sheet of paper and strutted backwards. I then turned to the remaining people after going to stand beside Chiamaka and then asked whom brought up this whole incidence and all fingers were pointed at Mr. Adam. I wasn't surprised at all, this man is always envious of Mother's achievement and the people she has around her. I then help Chi to stand up then told everyone that I'll be calling the police after we all the the CCTV camera. Adam's eyes was wide opened and i walked off without looking back but sensing that i am being followed by the speculators.

We all went to the CCTV room and then i did 'magic on it' after all it switched on, I searched for yesterday's clip from evening to night and after we all watched, after that another shouting season occured but this time on Adam and the other dude (i honestly don't care enough to know his name), while that was going on, i transferred the clip to my USB and at the same time, Chi thanked me because she was scared and almost lost her job. I told her that it's fine and not thank me but thank Allah. I then told the others to hold them down just incase worse turns worst and they agreed, honestly all of them just want a source of entertainment from anyone and they are all hypocrite but I don't care, to err with them.

I walked off to the operation room (yes, i am allowed in but not inside where the operation is happening because I'm not sterilize) and watched mom and her fellow surgeons operate on the patient, i went off to eat and just read because i know the operation is going to be a long one. it was until night she finished and i was waiting for her with all she needs, she thanks me and went to her office to freshen up already knowing her food and snacks and everything she'll need is there laid down in the most convinent places for her. After she was done, i asked her how far the patient and she smiled tiredly that Allahamdulliah he's in a stable condition but quite critical but he can survive it, i smiled proudly and she laughed lightly saying we would sleep in her office today because she's deadbeat tired and won't be driving at all. I agreed then went to freshen up too, after i was done was when i realized that Adam and that other shitty person might still be held down but i discarded the thought and said i would know tomorrow and so i went to bed after i did my normal routine.

THE NEXT DAY..

It went normally and yes i didn't bother knowing about them. Mom is busy as always and i just sat around in the office and sometimes helped the doctors get their stuffs from so i guess i acted like a stand by nurse, how exciting that sounds. Oh well day dream over i prayed and did read my novels almost to the end but i closed the book because it's going to be a drag finding another interesting book that will interest me. The day actually moved fats to me but i enjoyed it because i was treated to lots of meals and snacks. I went back home with Ma at night so as to get to school early the next day (Mendoksai nè). That was my last thought before i rolled my eyes and slept off
