The Christmas Party Accident

MASON'S POV:

The day of the party.. Oh jeez, I'm nervous.. "hey uh.. bro." I called out to my little brother. No answer. well I guess he's busy preparing. I brush the dirt off of my clothes and entire the dining hall where the guests will be. as I walk in I see Korinne. the love of my life. in a beautiful black, short dress. obviously Samira's idea. She looks around the room when she finally notices me. I wave her over and comes running. "Hey there, Emo Boy!" my nickname. "Hey there. you look.. stunning." whoops. I didn't mean to say that out loud. "Thanks. you look... comfortable." I look down at my sweatpants and baggy tee. "oh. I guess I should've dressed up." I said with an embarassed smile on my face. She playfully punched my arm, then walked off to grab a drink. Just as Korinne walks off, a girl I've never seen before comes up to me. "Hey Mason~" she says. Oh god. I think she's trying to seduce me. she grabbed my arm and dragged me to a different spot of the room. "Oops. hehe. I guess we're under the mistletoe." I looked up and saw it. she was right. I scanned the room for Korinne who was talking to Samira. I looked back at the girl in front of me and before I knew it, SHE KISSED ME. I don't know what happened next, but all I heard was a loud gasp and a glass shatter. then I heard Korinne's voice. "What the hell!?" is all she said before she ran off in tears. the girl was still holding onto me so I couldn't run after her..

KORINNE'S POV:

Mason.. the guy I thought I was in love with.. kissed some other girl.. I knew I shouldn't have let myself fall for him.. "What the hell!?" Is all I could manage to say before running out of the dining hall. I made my way outside, shoving passed people. I Korinne Bryce. Solemnly Promise to never fall in love ever again.. I don't remember too well what happened next. I just remember a sharp pain in my body, and a few people's voice.. "Oh my god! we hit her!" hit..? did I get hit by a car..? After that, I passed out. I woke up in an ambulance. I didn't open my eyes.. I just listened. "oh my god.. that's a lot of blood.." a female voice said, it sounded like Samira.. "Please don't die.. please don't die.." another voice said, I could've sworn it was Mason, but as soon as I was awake, I was out again.

SAMIRA'S POV:

we got to the hospital fairly quickly. Mason has been a wreck since he saw her in the ambulance. "Um. Doctor? Is she gonna be okay..?" I asked the doctor in front of me. "She suffered a hit to the head, she has some broken ribs, a fractured ankle, and she popped an artery". I gasped, tears nearly escaping my eyes. "we need to perform immediate surgery on her, but it'll be pricey.." he said in a sad tone. "I'll pay for it.." Mason said. Tears streaming down his cheeks. "it's my fault she's in that bed.. so I'll pay for the surgery." he spoke confidently. "son, the surgery is gonna cost $22,000.." I saw how broken up Mason was. I came from a rich family so it was only human of me... "I'll pay for Half of it.." I spoke up. Mason ran up to me and hugged me tight. "Thank you. Thank you!" he cried as he hugged me. he really loves Korinne to be going through hell and back for her. We payed for the surgery and soon enough, it was over. she was in recovery. "You guys can see her now." the doctor said, this time, with a smile on his face.

***KORINNE'S POV:

"I'll pay for the surgery." "I'll pay for half of it*." My best friend and the love of my life... they payed for my surgery... Samira and Mason ran into my hospital room and before I could say anything, MASON KISSED ME**. believe me, that isn't how I thought our first kiss would be. but it was great. he breaks the kiss and hugs me tight. "I'm so glad you're okay.." it was almost worth the unbearable pain I was feeling from him squishing my broken ribs. but it's wasn't worth it. "Mason, you're squishing me!" I chuckled but he could tell i was in pain so he backed up. "Sorry." he laughed. "so when can I get the hell out of this place?" I asked snarkily. "The doctor says in 2 weeks. you'll be good as new." Samira said from afar. she was giving Mason and I some space I guess. "God, I can't wait to get out of here and properly kiss the shit out of you." I said to Mason. clearlyhe was blushing but he was trying to hide it. "Okay, visiting hours are over." the doctor said. as Mason and Samira left, I layed back and before I knew it, I fell asleep.
