The Beginning

Do you believe that dreams come true? Because I don't believe that my dreams will come true.

It is just a wishful thinking of every person. They believe because they don't want to know they failed. They want to believe that someday... In the near future everything they dream of will all come true.

Maybe some people their dreams comes true. Well it will come true if your dreams are not too big like being a millionaire in someday without doing anything to make it come true.

I for myself dream to become an owner of a big company when I was ten years old. But now that I am in my college years, It suddenly strikes me that it would never happen.

I am Jeyna S. Feagar, 22 years old, a scholar of BS Accountancy in Mary Nica College and will graduate next month.

22 years of my life I live as an ordinary girl in an ordinary family. I dream and stop dreaming. I stop dreaming when I was 15 years old. Furthermore, I saw how low our lives could be. My parents full of debts, our small family business goes bankrupt?. I saw my family full of worries, full of sadness.

I saw my parents giving up. My sister stops going to college and start to work to help my parents. My little brother who cries because he doesn't have anything to eat. He is just 3 years old at that time.

Whenever I looked at them, everyday I lost hope in my dreams. As my family members also dreams. But what happened?

The dream never happened, not only that. The thing happened are quite opposite to what they dream off.

I lost hope....

"Jeyna! Jeyna! Wake up! You're going to be late at school" I heard my sister voice.

I slightly opened my eyes and saw my sister. She got younger unlike yesterday before I sleep.

My sister was beautiful, she has a fair skin. Slightly big round brown eyes. Her lips don't need lipstick because its was already light red.

But when our family starts to have problem financially that she needs to work. She becomes too thin and haggard and her beautiful face became pale and haggard.

But looking at her, it was like 5 years ago. Before the bad lucks happen to my family.

"Are you still dreaming?" My sister Jonah said to me while waving her hand on my face.

I looked at my phone who is noisy because of the alarm. 'Monday, June 13, 202x' as I saw the date I was confused.

Yesterday was Sunday, June 12. So why is my sister looks like this unlike how she looked like every day. She had some meat on her unlike yesterday full of bones?

"I… I am awake, you can go outside" I said. I need to think but when I looked around I saw the surrounding. I was so shocked.

This is not our home. This room was so big unlike my room with small bed and small cabinet.

My room right now has a bathroom, and so spacious. With a study table and double bed. There is another room connected. As I walked in I saw a room full of clothes, shoes and other accessories.

Is this our house? Am I dreaming? What is happening? I am confused...
