!!CRACK!!

The sound of Hyoma's knee breaking a bone. This caused Hyoma to freeze in place, making them lose the goal. But that doesn't matter, what matters is Chigiri Hyoma's right knee. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

A few weeks later, while Hyoma's mother was talking to the doctor, Dr. Fujisaki Akane. "Doc, do you think Hyoma's knee will heal?" Hyoma's mother asked.

"We're not sure yet. But if his knee is on the mend, he needs to exercise to get it back on track." Answered by Dr. Fujisaki.

Hyoma's mother nodded as she looked at her son. "Hyoma, stay here. I'll get you some food." She turns her head to Dr. Fujisaki. "Thanks, Doc. But I'll leave Hyoma here first." Mrs Chigiri smiled before standing up, leaving the room.

Dr. Fuji turned to face Hyoma while smiling "Let me see your knee again." He requested. Hyoma obliges, raising his right leg and placing it on the seat beside him.

Dr. Fuji started adjusting the bandage on his knee. Suddenly someone entered making Hyoma look at the door. He thought it was his mother who came in, but he was wrong. It was a child around his age, or at least a year younger than him.

"Onii-chan, the medicines and other supplies you ordered are here." The child said while looking at Dr. Fujisaki.

"Good job, Aoi-chan. Just put it on the table." Dr. Fuji smiled. Aoi nodded as she did as told.

Then, she looked at his older brother and his patient. A child named Aoi approached Dr. Fuji.

Hyoma's eyes follow the kid's movements, observing her intently without noticing.

Then the kid looked back at him causing Hyoma to flinch.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Aoi narrows her eyes at him.

The injured boy stared at the girl, a bit caught off guard by her rude tone.

"Aoi." Dr. Fuji called out sternly as a warning.

Aoi looked up at her brother with a pout on her face.

"Whatever..." She muttered, before feeling a sense of guilt and looking at Hyoma with an apologetic expression.

CHIGIRI'S POV:

"Hey... I'm sorry. I didn't know that you broke your knee..." The boy bowed infront of Hyoma

Hyoma looked at him with red tinted cheeks, not knowing how to answer.

"It's... Alright. You didn't know." He responded as he scratched the back of his head. Aoi nodded, still feeling a bit guilty.

After a while there was a loud knock on the door before it opened, a nurse came out with a hurried and worried face.

"D-Doctor Fujisaki!" Said nurse exclaimed, "A patient has been stabbed in the lungs! Please, help us!"

Dr. Fuji hurriedly adjusted his stethoscope, skittering towards the nurse, "Is the blood loss severe?" He asked urgently, "Yes, Doctor! If we don't immediately get the patient a blood transplant, then it's possible they'd die!" The woman shakily confirmed.

The doctor looked back at Aoi, "Aoi, I have to go. You watch over Mr. Chigiri for me, okay?" He leaves after, not giving Aoi a chance to answer.

Silence spread between Aoi and Hyoma, both of them looking towards different directions, with Aoi to the door and Hyoma on the floor.

Hyoma opens his mouth in an attempt to break the awkward silence.

"So-"

"How are you feeling, Chigiri?"

Aoi then spoke, cutting him off on nothing in particular.

Hyoma stares at the boy, stunned. How should he even respond to that?

God, he really needed to work on his social skills.

“I'm... Fine, I guess." Chigiri stammered off, internally panicking with slight awkwardness.

Aoi hummed in response. He then walks over to where Dr. Fuji sat, taking a seat and reaching her hand out to pat his knee.

Hyoma looked up at the boy, intently staring at his features.

Aoi had very soft features to him, making him almost look... Feminine.

Not like Hyoma had room to talk about the matter.

But still, Aoi looked too-

How should Hyoma word this? Pretty?

The injured boy blushed at the thought before his gaze bounces off to somewhere else.

"Shit.."

Hyoma muttered, wincing as he realized that Aoi must've heard him.

"Is something wrong?" The boy tilted his head.

Hyoma looks away in embarrassment, before eventually giving in.

"I broke my knee in a game." He spoke quietly, continuing on after a pause, "It was... Just unfortunate. We would've won if I hadn't just broke it."

Aoi sighed, glancin at him sympathetically.

"Don't blame yourself. Besides, you were still amazing back there."

He complimented, smiling gently.

Aoi smiles in an attempt to comfort him.

"No one would expect that you'd dislocate a vein on your knee."

Hyoma reddens at the compliment, getting a bit flustered. Though, Aoi was a little too blunt at the second statement.

"Thank you..."

****. What the hell was that response?

Aoi didn't seem to mind.

"Y'know, I play soccer too."

Hyoma's eyes turn to him in surprise. The more he mulled over Aoi's words, the more he realized that Aoi knew he played soccer.

Well, this must be why.

"That's... Great!"

Hyoma attempted to compliment. By the looks of Aoi, he didn't seem to be someone who's interested in soccer.

And with that, we kept talking about ourselves until Dr.Fujisaki came back.

°Later that day, at Chigiri's house°

"How are you, Hyoma?" Hyoma's mother asked.

"I'm getting better, mom. My left leg feels numb a little while I walk." Hyoma replied.

"Ma, I think I made a friend..." Hyoma added.

"Hm? Who is it, son?"

"His name is Fujisaki Aoi. Dr.Fuji's brother." The child answered.

"Fujisaki Aoi?? You mean Dr.Fuji's sister?" These words startled the red-headed man at his mother.

"S-sister?!" He shouted.

"Shhh, don't scream! And yes, Aoi-chan is Dr.Fuji's sister. Don't you know?" The mother asked.

"N-no... He just looks like a boy... A-and! She said that she is also interested in soccer, mom!" Hyoma said as she looked away in embarrassment.

"So, that means," The mother sighed before smiling. "You have a friend to play soccer with!"

"Mom! How can I play when my right leg is..." The child frowned.

"Don't worry, you can still play even if you're lame. Play sitting!"

"Mamaaa, soccer is about feet, not hands! How can I score a goal if I'm just sitting?" The boy whined.

"Just kick as hard as you can until you score!" The mother tried to console the child, but it was just useless playing soccer while sitting on the stupid chair. The redhead didn't reply.

'So, Aoi is a girl.... That's....

Even better...'
