After 2 Years

I am Katherine Sanchez. Almost 24, coming back from London. I just came to Los Angeles, my home. My best friend also lives here and must be excited to meet me. His name is Liam Castillo, also 24 and a famous billionaire ceo of Los Angeles. We are best friend since We were 5. Elena and Andrew are also our friends.

I texted him to meet me in the same old Cafe where we used to go when we were in high school. I used to act like a tomboy and wasn't interested in guys and wonder if he will recognize me with my waist-length red curly hair and pink off shoulder casual dress. I've had a crush on him since we became really good and close friends. I became a tomboy, so I wouldn't have to date anyone else. I like him so much, but I can't tell him because he is a playboy and wouldn't take anyone seriously. I am also afraid if he rejects me and then we won't be friends anymore.

I reached early. And I went to our favourite window seat. After 10 minutes of waiting he came and I already recognized him, but he didn't recognize me. He came and sat at the table next to mine. He watched me closely and started flirting with me as usual.

"Have we met before?" I played with him.

"Maybe. I think at Sam's wedding."

He looked confused at first and then played along. "Yeah. You have lost weight, but you still looked pretty at the wedding. My name's Liam. I've also heard your a heavyweight drinker. Would you mind coming with me to the club, we will have lots of fun?" He said winking at me.

That's it I couldn't take it anymore. "Fun my foot!!! Liam Castillo you are such a bad flirt. Who cares about SAMs wedding when ther is no Sam!" I stood up and he looked really confused and stayed silent. "Really Liam you can't recognize your best friend! Oh gosh if I knew I wouldn't even come her to meet you!"

He also stood up and hugged me tightly. "OMG! Katherine you are finally a lady!" Basically everyone were were looking at us. I let go and smacked his head.

He sat in front of me while laughing at me. "What?"

"I can't believe my eyes. You look more prettier like a lady." I rolled my eyes. "Ok it's enough. So how's life."

"Not good."

"Why what's wrong?"

"I have a girlfriend." My heart was aching badly but I managed to force a smile. "So shouldn't that be good?"

"We have been in a 3 month relationship and now I'm serious about her, but my parents won't accept her." My spoon dropped in my plate as I was eating the cake I ordered. "There is no way I'm helping you. Are you even serious? From what I know you are a guy who has one night stands!"

"I know, but you know why I used to do that. I just want you to make my parents agree. I know she's the one who will keep me happy." He changed because his first love May betrayed him. May cheated on him, but she also dated him just for money and power. After that he treated all girls as toys (except for me).

Even though my heart was aching I decided to help him because I loved him a lot and I wanted him to be happy. "Fine I will help. So what do I do?"
