Tuesday, November 16, 1918,

A new 16-year-old student followed her older brother, a teacher who was transferred to Saint-Pierre Academy, for the unique purpose of keeping her by his side. So she decided to leave her old school in England and to continue her studies at this boarding school. As soon as she entered the classroom, everyone's eyes were on her, obviously because of her beauty. When the professor asked her to introduce herself, she bowed:

"My name is Lila, Lila Lamperrouge. I am from London and I am delighted to be with you today!"

She walked in an upright posture along the row to sit at the back of the class. The professor then designated a boy to show her around the academy, and to communicate to her the writings of past courses. It is Erwin Ashford, the best student of the establishment, and the most popular among the female gender ...

After class, Erwin came to Lila to show her around the school, as planned, but she insisted to go to the library.

There, in addition to the school newspaper, she took 13 books of all kinds; she was immersed in her readings. For hours, she only read with a pretty little smile. Suddenly, she changed her expression completely, when she started to read the front page of the newspaper.

"William ti Franciss, a senior high school student, is missing. He appears to be the sixth victim this week. The Police says that they are holding the matter, and everything will be resolved as soon as possible. "

It was then that Lila's eyes began to shine, and her body to tremble, neither of fear nor of anger: she trembled with excitement! What, who, why, how?

Lila has been at the Academy for ten days, but she still has no friends except Erwin. Quite the opposite, because of her way of speaking a little too honest and her frankness, she made many enemies. Although it doesn't make her hot or cold!

During intercours, she often left alone, reading one or two novels in the garden; she read very quickly. Once, there were a few people who had entered her little haven of peace. She went to find another place to read. It was then that she saw, at the other end of the corridor, to the right of the hall, a room that you could barely see. The door was not closed, so she entered without hesitation. It was an empty room, with white painted walls, a table and chair, and a small window. Perfect for reading, isn't it!

The most interesting is to come. There was a kind of strange book on the table, on the cover, was drawn an amazing geometric figure, unheard of! A certain name was engraved there too; the name of John Giver, the author of this book apparently. But it was so old that the ink on the pages faded. Lila leafed through page by page, but nothing! Not a single letter! Everything is gone! So she took it, put it in her bag, and went to class. At the end of the lessons, she hurried to see Erwin in order to inform him about the strange book ...

Meanwhile, Harold Eberth, a classmate of Lila had a problem, a huge problem! ...
