I tied my shoes carelessly suddenly after my eyes caught up a glimpse of the wall clock which was displaying 7:05 AM.

"ugh," I groaned helplessly as I was again late for my university.

I need to stop watching k dramas at the night or else will catch insomnia soon because of it. This is the same line I repeat every morning, again and again, every morning when I get late for my university.

I looked at the mirror for the last time and stranding up the curls bit to showcase my normal face drained with dark circles due to lack of sleep. I grabbed the bag which was lying on the study table and moved out of my room.

"Amara, breakfast is ready? sit, have it with me." mom said whilst fixing up the dining table.

"mom, dubuchi... I'm late for University again."

"dubuchi?". she questioned with unknown reactions patched on her face.

"it means sorry in Korea, " I explained.

"you and your Korean language craze, god knows what will happen with you?." she said while wrapping my breakfast in the tiffin.

"I already knew that you will be late again so I already had the tiffin ready to be packed just in case I was right about it," she said whilst handing me the tiffin box.

"thank you, mom, bye now running late for lectures," I said and ran out of my small house, all I could hear on my way out was my mom's blessing so that my day could go well.

I took my bicycle and moved hurriedly to the university.

I never saw my father. he left us alone when I was just 3 months old. I don't know anything about him, he just left us alone to survive on our own, I always use to ask my mother about my father when I was in school as I used to feel fatherly figure missing, the main reason was I used to get sad when my classmate's fathers attend annual days and other parent meetings. out of curiosity, I had even fought with my mother just to know more about my father but always used to get the same answer "he left us alone to die and I don't have anything more to tell you about him."

After so many tries I stopped asking about him more as if he had been feeling even a little bit curious about me or my life he would have searched for me or even try to contact me anyhow but still, he hasn't done anything like that so I closed his chapter, there is a part of me who craved for the knowledge about him.

is he doing fine? why did he leave us alone to bear it on our own?.

I had so many questions grilling up inside me, from the start of my existence but I still don't have any answers to it.

I reached the steps of the University and parked my bicycle in the parking lot. I rushed into the building and reached out of my classroom 12 C (Science) showcasing on the plate above the room.

I took a deep breath and opened the door and stepped inside the classroom.

everyone started staring at me.

I looked at my best friend Riya, she gave me a pitying look. I know I'm going to die soon because I'm late for the dinosaur's lecture. everyone calls our chemistry teacher a dinosaur as you will die just by his one glare. he is too dangerous, everyone fears him including me.

I closed back the door and entered the room while crossing my fingers on my back.

"so, it's you again." only voice surrounded the classroom.

I gulped my saliva inside my mouth as soon as the voice dropped on the curtain of my earbuds.

I looked at him and his face looked calm, I knew it was the silence before the storm hits.

"Sorry, sir!!!!, it won't happen again." I played my card in the hope if it would work out or not regardless of the result, I had to do something so I just did the common thing which everyone would do if they did the same mistake of getting late.

he was going to say something but stopped when the door opens suddenly.

I looked back just to witness Manik standing on the tip of the doorstep.

he is the bad boy of the University and one of the most irregular ones just like me but he is worse than me and more kind of trouble maker.

"tsk, the two most famous disobedient students of the class." he spilled out then I know I'm gonna regret coming late today.

he stood beside me and looked at my face than at the whole class and smiled mysteriously as he had been planning this for months.

"Why are there any rules about getting early for lectures? can't I come late with my girlfriend." my eyes popped open up widely at his action.

People started to stare even more.

what is he saying? is he gone nuts when he went on a trip abroad with his family.

"Okay, it is not written anywhere so, help me write it down, you two..." pointing at us.

"you will write that rule 10,000 times in the notebook that we will come on time for lectures every day. Then after that, you are free to go home, that's it, it's easy peasy right, now get on track. go sit outside on the ground in the open, take it as a gift, a date from me, move." he shouted at the top of the roof.

ugh, it's a black day for me.

After listening to the professor's punishment he walked out of there as nothing happened, I followed him and we halted when we reached the ground.

"Why did you lie and create such a mess??." I asked while raising eyebrows and crossing arms.

he comes close to my face, his hot breath splashing onto my face, tingling my nerves active.

"People say I'm a trouble maker so giving them what they wanted me to be." he smiled and sat on the ground away from me and started writing the rule.
