Episode 2 A Helping Hand

Nyx and Rain had been friends since they were in school. Nyx was born into the wealthy Lee clan, who own several businesses, but technology was their specialty. Nyx is the only daughter of the Lee clan. Lee clan is one of the most popular, well respected in the country.

The night before, Nyx had dropped rain off at her dorm room after a night out. As they rode in Nyx's fancy car, Nyx asked Rain about her mom's condition. Nyx knew that rain was going through a stressful time in her life. Rain answered with a sad smile on her face, trying not to show the pain, saying that she hadn't been in contact with her dad because of the graduation, but she plans to call him soon to tell him the news. But even when she tries to call her dad, he doesn't pick up.

She is also looking for a job,

Nyx offered to help rain, even though she knew that rain was a proud person. Rain refused Nyx's help, saying that she would find a job soon, since she was done with college and had a degree. Nyx told Rain that she was always welcome to come work in her company, but Rain politely refused. She was grateful for the offer, but she didn't want to be accused of nepotism, since it isn't very well-liked. Nyx tried to convince Rain, but she knew that rain would do what was best for herself. Nyx told Rain that she was always around if she needed her, as rain's dorm room arrived.

As Rain got out of the car, she turned to Nyx and thanked her for the ride. Nyx smiled and told Rain to take care of herself. "You know I'm always here for you, right?" Nyx said before driving away.

Rain nodded and waved goodbye before heading up to her dorm room. She took a deep breath and tried to shake off the events of the before. She was relieved to be back in her safe space and went to sleep, tired, while thinking about the man she had met that day.

The next day, Rain woke up late at 10 in the morning. When she saw the time, she jumped up and hurried to get ready. She had to meet her college friend today to celebrate their graduation. As she arrived at the mall in a hurry, her eyes lit up as she saw her friend Jasmine. She ran to hug her, and Jasmine got jump scared, but when she saw her, she hugged her back.

They walked around, talked, and the topic of jobs came up. Jasmine said she had a job offer and had applied for it, but she wanted rain to apply too. What if one of them gets lucky? It was a job from the Wilson Group, the biggest company in the country, for the position of a personal assistant to the CEO. They both qualified for the job, but the Wilson Group was big, and it was rumored that the CEO was a person who is egoistic, arrogant and a selfish bastard, and it was easy to make him angry. However, they pay very well. Rain didn't think twice before applying, even though it could be a challenging job. It's said that CEO is a very handsome man but what am I going to do with that, Rain thought to herself that she would be able to have a good life with that money.

Rain went home happy and jolly after meeting Jasmine. As she lay on the bed, Nyx, Louis, and Rain chatted in their group chat, sending memes and making fun of Louis as he boasted about his new modeling contract. Rain told them that she applied for a job at the Wilson Group, and they wished her luck and hoped she will get a call back as soon as possible.
