CHAPTER THREE (3) I'll prove myself to you

Few minutes after Li hua got to her court yard to freshen up, the king summoned her.

When Li hua got to the kings court yard, he invited her to his chamber to question her concerning the incident that took place at the contest . "Did you sabotage Lady Shu? and why did you do that?" The king asked and Li hua bent her head trying not to make eye contact, and he asked again with harsh tone.

After some minutes, Li hua finally said in a loud voice "Yes, i sabotaged Lady Shu because I love you and want you for myself, I've always loved you, i want to kiss you, i want you to touch me. I know it's a sin, but I love you ." She began to cry and the King's face turned from anger to surprise.

The king was still shocked from what he just read "no wonder she always looked at me that way." He thought.

Li hua kept crying and Ling Jun hugged her, while patting her back. "Why are my reacting this way? I'm meant to shout at her, I'm supposed to condemn her, but why are my hugging her instead?" He thought.

Li hua broke out of his embrace and sat on a chair and said "I know this is wrong, but please father Just accept me, I'll be who you want me to be, I'll satisfy you. Just accept me father."

Now it was getting out of hand, Ling Jun really felt disgusted because Li hua is his daughter "Look Li, kill any kind of feeling you have for me, I am your father for God's sake." He said and Li hua kept looking at glaring.

She tried to caress his cheek and he hit her hand then said " What ever feeling you have now is just infatuation, you are only blinded by the care and love i show to you as your father."

Li hua kept staring as he continued to talk "You have to get married, and have your

children, I don't want to hear this again, or I'll get you married to the prince of Bowen."

Tears trailed from Li hua's eyes down to her cheeks.

The reply she got from him hurt her because she really loves him, her desire to have him became so intense "Father, I'll prove myself to you." She said and runs out of he's court yard in tears.

A confused Ling Jun sits on his bed trying to understand what just happened.

LATER THAT DAY IN THE THRONE ROOM...

The strange man with the red eyes came back to the palace, but this time not as a commoner, but as a King.

Ling Jun was shocked to know that the red eyed man is the King of Bowen Kingdom, Yong Qiang. Xiao Ling Jun prepared a grand welcome feast for him, but he wasn't really interested in any of it, he only wanted to see Xiao Li hua.

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry to trouble you like this, I came unannounced. I didn't even give you the chance to show your hospitality." Yong Qiang said with a grin. " It is not that big of an issue. So to what do I owe this pleasant visit, your Majesty?" Xiao Ling jun said trying to act as if he didn't remember the red eyed man from yesterday. Yong Qiang took a sip from the wine previously offered to him and cleared his throat then said " I came to seek for your daughter, Princess Xiao Li hua, princess of games of the seven kingdoms in our continent, the sun of Ji kingdom's hand in marriage. If you may give me the honor to be the husband of your daughter, I will send ten thousand of my strong able bodied men to join your army. I will give you one thousand healthy horses from my kingdom, and I will never declare war on your kingdom."

...When Yong Qiang told Ling Jun of his intentions to marry Li hua, all he could think of was what Li hua said to him in the morning. "The decision is not mine to make, it's that of my daughter's. I will not force her into any marriage without her consent." Was all he could say. Yong Qiang pressed his fingers against his fore head and said "Well I'm giving you until sunset tomorrow to make a decision." He said and leaves the throne room with two of his soldiers following."...

...The queen comes in after King Yong Qiang left and sat on her seat close to the king and said "I over heard your conversation with the king of Bowen kingdom." She said and the king replied "Were you eavesdropping on our conversation?" Xiao Mei Lien looks up at the king and frowns, she takes his hand and caresses it and the king was so uncomfortable with the way she touched him. For some reason he wished it was Xiao Li hua. " Your Majesty I think you should get Li hua married to the king of Bowen. It is the best we can do for her apart from giving her luxury and freedom, since her mother passed on. Her marriage to the king will benefit both she and us, we will gain strength and more riches to the one we already have. Just think about it your Majesty. If we don't get her married to the king of Bowen, he might do something drastic just as the rumours about him are." ......

...Xiao Ling Jun knew that Mei Lein didn't like Li hua that much since she's the daughter of my late wife, the disposed queen of Ji Bowen kingdom. But he knew that there was some kind of truth in what she said. All he could say was " I'll talk to Li hua about it." He grinned....

IN XIAO LI HUA'S CHAMBER...

...Biyu was braiding Li hua's hair for her to look more beautiful than she already is while telling her a story of her life in the mountains before she came to the palace to work....

...Suddenly, a female guard standing outside the chamber announces the arrival of the king. Li hua was so happy because he got to see her new hair style before anyone else....

...Ling Jun walked into the chamber and Biyu and other servants left the arena. Li hua gave one more glance at the mirror and stood to greet her father and he turned away immediately. Not because of how mesmerized he was about her beauty, but her attire was too revealing and he could see her breasts. She chuckles as she notices his reaction and hugs him. He hangs his hand trying not to touch her bare back. He gently pushes her away and told her to cover herself . She pretends not to listen to him and asks" Your Majesty why are you being so distant?" He ignores her and tries to talk about what he had just said to the queen, but she interrupts by kissing him and takes his hand to her waist. He tries to resist but he couldn't, he kisses her back and moves close to her while untying her slim blows. He remembers his encounter with the king of Bowen kingdom and slowly moves away from her. She grabs his hand and he releases it and said " You will get married to the King we welcomed today, the king of Bowen kingdom, Yong Qiang. And tomorrow he will take you with him, you will stay in his palace for two weeks before the wedding."...

Li hua looks at Ling Jun and tears began to roll from her eyes, she thought he finally accepted her when he kissed. " But you kissed me?" She said and he replied " it is for the best Li hua. We can't live like this. I am your father and you are my daughter. Maybe if you get married your romantic feelings towards me will fade. I almost committed a sin today because of you, so it is best you get married. "

Li hua put on her final dress and walks out of the room with tears in her eyes.
